Yes, I was in several plays etc during both primary and secondary school. I had the lead in several school productions during high-school because Ms Watson my English teacher really liked me even though I didn't take English Lit. A-Level.
I also performed music several times onstage in my late teens as part of a band playing rhythm guitar or bass.
Nowadays I get a DJ slot once every several months or I play "selekta" while a friend of mine does "emcee" as part of a roots/dub soundsystem.
No major disasters so far

I did a couple awful movies in college, but never did anything on stage. Unless a few costume contests count.... those were on stages.
Yeah in the school nativity. I was the innkeeper and I had one line which I repeated for days to remember.
"There's no room at the inn."
I had a fake moustache and everything.

And how did it turn out?
It just occurred to me, that maybe not everyone has. I always took it for granted. I have not done it since I left High School, but during that time I did it a fair bit. In one I was the lead in a musical. In another I played a few cameos in a comedy script that I helped write.
