What's the game about? Like in the original Endless Ocean, you're a diver tasked with exploring the ocean, discovering underwater species, and reporting back on other findings and landmarks under the sea. You can also enlist the aid of pro divers who will help guide you around the areas and tell you about the creatures and landmarks you find.
What's new for E3? This is another Nintendo title that the company previously announced in Japan, but it makes its playable debut here at E3. The big thing about Endless Ocean 2 is that now you can travel around the world, instead of just swimming around a single, fictional body of water. You can instantly warp between a number of regions, including South America and even Antarctica. Endless Ocean 2 also includes new tools, such as the "PULSAR," an underwater tranquilizer that calms more ferocious sea creatures. I didn't find a use for it in the playable demo, but I'm guessing you might have to use it to subdue some larger creatures hidden in the depths.
What's our take? It's an obvious thing to mention, but the variety of real-world locations makes Endless Ocean 2 more believable, and it's even more enjoyable to explore the various lakes, oceans, rivers, atolls, and more bodies of water around the world. It helps improve the overall look of the game, too -- a murky South American river looks murky, and the tropical coastlines are bright blue and filled with colorful plants and fish. And for what it's worth, the character models look more detailed, too. Endless Ocean 2 looks as intriguing as the first game, and should to trigger your sense of ocean exploration when it comes out early next year.
Pulsar? Endless Ocean 3 will include harpoons, 4 shotguns, and 5 lasers. 5 will be the first wii game to get a 10.
Lakes? Some of 'em have got to be salt water right? Aweosme, that's basically all I felt was missing from Endless Ocean too. Not ALL fish are meant to be shiny bright blue things!

Are you implying that crocodiles aren't fish?

There were stingrays in the first game and manta rays too.
Look at this, its stunning when you experience it
To the proper music. Hayley Westernra
This is the sonar then. I'm not a fan of putting all this stuff on the screen. It ruins the natural immersion.
Did anyone notice this?
Regardless, you'll be able to travel to Nine Ball Island, where you'll again meet up with your trusty dolphin sidekick, once more a loyal companion. Now, though, you'll be able to hold onto the dolphin for super-speed swimming.
Yeah, all that crap on seems looks silly. Looks like they're aiming at a more "traditional" type game thing. Hopefully you can turn it off.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileIf the game is like the first, we can ride on belugas and killer whales. Maybe they can add that Magu Tapu legendary white shark.
I can see the multiplayer mode now, racing towards eachother to chomp down in a bloody mess.

It's like playing chicken, but so much more awesome.

So where does Endless Ocean go from here?
They can keep doing different dive spots but surely by the time Endless Ocean 3 rolls up they will have covered the majority of sea life. Where does the series go after that? Ideas?
The first idea is a Prehistoric based Endless Ocean, do the sea as it used to be with real extinct species. Make it so you are a diver in the future using some VR program to see what it was really like back then. Wouldn't you love to see dino-sea creatures and locations?
The other idea is Mythical Endless Ocean with mythical sea creatures like the Kraken. Stuff like this:
Do stuff like have an Abyss type lost alien city or lost city of atlantis.
Or they can take the real world existing forumula and crank up the wow factor, explore underwater volcanos and have cage dives with great whites.
What are your ideas?
OMG awesome idea here. You couldn't have someone in scuba gear in a mythical game so instead you play as a mer-man in an underwater city charged with creating a beastiary.

That is both hilarious and awesome.
Though it does sound a little like a Jump the Shark moment. That or Excitebots.
You know when i first saw footage of Aquanaught holiday with tons of whales together I thought it was unrealistic. After watching a few more nature programs I found that wow, it does happen in nature and it looks awesome.
In Endless Ocean 1 I once got a scene on the Ghost Ship and all these Manta rays were flying in formation towards me. It was just....... wow.
Now stupid red and green dot problem on my wii spoils it.
