I recommend Shadow Complex or Bastion next. You can polish them off easily on a weekend or Holiday day if you devote a few hours to them, and they are both fan-fucking-tastic!
...or you can join me for some Peace Walker! I am having trouble with an Extra Ops Armored Patrol Carrier mission and a Story Mission Hind Battle.

For sure. Let me know on PSN. You have it for PS3 right. You aren't like Edge that got a PS series on the 360
I would rather do the extra ops first so that I dont see any of the future story. Let me know what chapter that story mode is in, if I passed it I will help out.

$5. It's like a Homer experiment, I will play bad games just to see what its like.

Meh, no platinums, clearly they are inferior. The trophy system is far easier to follow and better organized. You can quickly distiguish a high level award from another by just looking at the trophy you get, you can see everyones list of trophies by category and above all you can see the platinum list.
Bah! Achievements sounds like something a teacher would give to a little kid in elementary school. Trophies are more manly, like sports and hunting.

Kids get last place trophies all the time in elementary school.... Just sayin'.

And it also doesn't hurt that the PS3 MGS Collection has three seperate sets for each of the three games.
I started Mass Effect. I took Solid's advice and made a biotic character, I choose vanguard so that I can still have some shooting fun. The music, presentation and story is incredible, even though I know where the story is going I am still engrossed into this world Bioware has created. I have only gotten into a few fights but its clearly apparent that ME2 improved the combat drastically. This games combat is clunky with terrible cover mechaics that dont really work. I have some biotic powers but I can only use one at the press of a button, I hate using a menu in combat. Even the AI stuff is way too cumbersome.
Then there is all the items you get, another area much improved in ME2. ME2 realized all these items are crap, no need to clutter an inventoy with them, just stick to the few objects that matter and make it seamless. For instance the ammo upgrades you get have to be placed onto each gun you want through a badly layed out menu. If you want to switch it out you have to go back to choose the gun, unequip it and then find whatever else you want to use it on. Half the time you lose track what upgrades you put on what gun, especially when you switch party members cause they take the weapons and all upgrades with them so there is no easy way to share. In ME2, it is a power, you simply choose what ammo upgrade you want during the battle and tada there it is. No inventory management, no losing track what weapon has what, just real time ammo upgrades.
Leveling up has far more nuance than in ME2 but do i really need to add 3 percent points to accuracy, will that really make a damn differnce. 5% more damage, ohhhh. Who cares, just give me a new power or make my existing powers significantly and noticably stronger.
I have yet to explore the galaxy so I dont know what to make of it yet. So far I am swamped with side quests in the citadel. Wrex is AWESOME. Anyway more impressions as I play.
Yeah its killer...just remember it came BEFORE Mass Effect 2. Don't be too hard on its shortcomings.
I was ready to throw my controller at my TV cause the combat was pissing me off. Since then I have developed a ton of powers and now I can manage battles much better. I love driving around the planets, its even used in main missions. As always there is so much to do and see, so much great content. I know I wont like this as much as ME2 but it must have been one hell of a start.
Time to update this, I am moving backwards.
