No, but they wouldn't let him take pictures with the some of the characters for a while. Apparently there's some Disney park rule that kids can't be barefoot when they take pictures with the characters. Eventually they comprised since he had his socks on, but they still made the photographer shoot him from the ankel up.

It's probably to keep from offending a particular group. They do a lot of stuff like that. For instance, all of the employees, aka "cast members" always point with 2 fingers when giving directions and not just one because some culture out there gets offended by one fingered pointing.
