I'm so sick of this game.

I'm at the point where I just beat the Jailer and I have to get the third sword (where they throw up every enemy you have faced so far).  I keep getting within a hair's breath of beating them and then die.  I have no chance with this game.

What diff sre you playing on? The third sword on the cathedral is kind of tiresome to get, but not that hard frpm what I remember.

Of course, my memory shouldn't be taken as some kind of gold standard right now, lol.

Normal.  The third one is the easiest, the problem is my depleted health and only one chest available durinfg the long battle.

Use the shoulder button to dash and evade.  You shouldn't really be getting hit all that much when fighting ordinary enemies

I'm in the second dungeon area, which I guess would be kinda like the water dungeon in a Zelda game.   The Power Glove is pretty cool.  Swimming is fairly easy thanks to the simplified controls.

I just finished up my battle with the Griever. So much easier than fucking Tiamat. I don't know who designed the difficulty slope in this game, but clearly they are retarded.

Honestly though I don't know how much longer I'll be playing the game. It's not bad, but its not grabbing me at all. At no point have I really said to myself, "I'm having fun." I like the story, and I like the characters. The game play is okay, but the dungeons just aren't doing it for me. They suck the life right out of me  till I'm forcing myself to get through them. I think can find something else I'd enjoy more.

Sooooo true.  What the hell?  I loved the boss battle here. Very creative way to kill an enemy and cave their head in!  I also loved this "dungeon."  Pretty clever puzzles here.  BTW, when is the horse gonna show up?

A few hours for you. The difficulty is a bit random, it gets easier as you gain powers. At this point I heavily rely on my super demon form to bail me out of long fights. But again I am on hard.

I predict that Travo and I will be the only two to actually finish the game, if the rest of you are getting burned out now it only gets more and more complicated with longer dungeons and harder battles.

I don't mind the dungeons,  I love them.  That's what the appeal of this game is.  I love the Zelda series and the dungeons are the heart of that series to me.  If I start to rage at some of the future bosses and never figure out their patterns, I might quit for good as well.  So far, I'm really enjoying it.  Tiamat was more of a pain in the ass because of clumsy controls with the boomerang.  Oddly enough, like Robio said, the Griever was too easy.  Some of the other enemies provided a pretty big challenge at times, but I've survived so far. I've actually gotten better and died less, except for being stupid in some areas and not doing what I should've done.

I'm actually surprised I haven't gotten lost in the dungeons yet.  I've found exactly what I needed to do and followed the correct path every time.

I probably have two big complaints about this game so far.  There seems to be too many enemies sometimes and it can be overwhelming.   Also, the explanations for some of War's moves are not that clear.  For example, the defensive move after blocking. I didn't know I had to time the block.  I thought  I could just hold the block button, then time my attack.  If I didn't have Bugs to explain, I probably would've quit already.

Dungeons are actually working out to be the best part of the game.  I agree, they are generally straight-forward and the "puzzles" are better than the usual ones found in these tiype of games.

Just the controls are killing me.  I won;t be able to play it today, but otmorrow I'm going to have to play it with the manual and figure out how to defend.

I got a little giddy at that point. I am thinking of so many awesome gameplay possibilities for the next game, you have probably thought of what I am thinking of as well. So much potential.

I don't think I have any magic equiped, or a harpoon.

R1 is dash right? I have not been using that, so that's a good idea, I'll try more of that.

I've not had much cash to buy upgrades (or perhaps I am upgrading poorly).  It's just not my kind of game I guess.  I'm only 3 hours in, plenty of time for me to figure it out I guess.

Yes R1 is your friend you should be using that constantly. Blocking is crap in the game, just dodge as much as you can by dashing around. When you buy the R1 + attack moves you can do a dash attack, very useful for closing distances. Basically dash in, combo by just hitting the attack button and dash out when they try to hit you. Hold the attack button to launch smaller enemies into the air, you will follow and then do that awesome spin attack (buy that immediately). The secondary weapons are good too. The scythe is great for area attacks.

Don't use the boomerang for combat, only when its required like the plague dude for hitting bats. And yes use your spells.

As for health don't worry about it, when you die you restart at the checkpoint with a nice chunk of health back.

I don't have any spells to use with R1. Or combos.  Or secondary weapons.

All I have is mashing the square button.

They've said the sequel doesn't follow the ending but shows events that happen at the same time as the first game or something. Yeah, fail.

I don't think I can get back to weapons dealer from where I am at.

I'm taking 3 days off to beat Enslaved, then I'll come back.  I got sick of sitting there playing for 40 minutes at a time doing the same battle (and I'm not even at that Tiara chick y'all were talking about last week).
