I'm really tempted to try out some of the others in the series to continue the story, but 0 seems to be considered the best in the series. Still, I'll give Like a Dragon a chance later in the year since it's still sitting on my shelf. Just need a pallet cleanser before I revisit the world of seedy Japanese crime.
I have beaten them all and I regret nothing. Except buying a JP PS2 to play Yakuza 2. Do you want to buy a complete in box JP PS2?

I think I managed to catch some of it.

But we both enjoy an obnoxious argument every now and then. (Or at least I do; I assume Gagan does, too.)

Well you know, I don't have a PS2 anymore....

That reminds me. I'm out of Pepto-Bismol.
Finished Hollow Knight. Didn't think I had it in me...
...on second thought, I've had it in me plenty of times...
...but, I digress... Awesome, tough game!

Yeah, I heard it was pretty hard.

Anyone looking forward to the Barbie movie?
Anyway, the game is a mixed bag. Really solid controls, and the levels are varied and well put together. The story is a lot more forgettable though, at least until the last part of the game where they finally explain what everyone's motivation is. That might have made the game more interesting if they had introduced it earlier on.
My biggest gripe is actually the voice acting. The original wasn't fantastic, but it was definitely solid. And it featured three really well regarded actors, Anson Mount (Commander Pike), Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter's sister), and Jackie Earle Haley (Rorschach from watchmen) and they did a good job. For the sequel, I think there was a voice actor strike going on or something like that, and All The replacements pretty much just sounded like random people pulled off the street. In retrospect, I probably would have been better to either play the game in another language.
Dvader said:Anson Mount is in TEW?! Woah blew my mind. I still liked the first more than the second.
Yeah crazy huh? He had just started Hell on Wheels, but that was really the only thing anyone knew him from as an actor.
And yeah, after the replay, I can definitely say the first was the better game.
Still, it did a nice job of throwing curve balls and not overly relying on the structure of the original. Plus the final day was excellently put together. It was put together in a way they could have dragged things out even further, but didn't feel like it for a second.
However, it's also a good reminder that most games in the 16-but era really had God awful dialogue. Sitting through the text-heavy ending was near painful.

Nice.
This weekend just chipped away (pardon pun) on Everybody's Golf on PS4 on the BIG TV. It's amazing, I wish I upgraded TV's 5 years ago.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - Switch - I finally beat TotK yesterday evening. Did the whole run up to the final boss in one sitting. Not sure how I feel about the game. The added gameplay elements were all good. The fusing of weapons, the new enemy types, the dungeons, ... The actual building part was mercifully underutilized. But the actual extra overworld, sky world and the nether realm were both underwhelming. The Sky World is very limited, would have been cool if there had been much more of it, forming interconnected area's. The nether realm on the other hand is huge, but also very samey and drab. Save for the area with lava, there is no way to tell one area apart from the other. But hey, it's still BotW, which was awesome, but now also improved - 8/10
I hope Nintendo announces that they will make no more entries in the Zelda series and will double down on their investment in Wario Warez.
