I ended with 17 games. Not too bad at all. My early prediction for 2024 is that I will finish many fewer.

I have to update my list with 3 more games. Nyaa

Just kidding, my list is complete at 40. Damn you Vader! LOL

Sweet. I mean some of those games I counted are way too short, we can share the title.

25 or 26 for me ultimately (depending on how I count Slay the Spire and the mod for it). Couldn't quite finish Baldur's Gate 3 before 2024, so that's a free one for this year.

1. RE4 is the goat, i refuse to believe it has any flaws of any kind. lalalalalalalalalala not listening. Leon is Pretty

2. RE4 Remake. Leon is pretty. I appreciate them dropping QTEs, and generally the increase in challenge level in RE4 remake. I'd argue and will argue that in general every encounter this game brings back from og 4 is either as good, if not improved in some capacity. I just don't care for the changes to how stuns work, I don't like how movement feels overall worse than OG4. Who knows in a few more years this might replace RE4 as my GOAT. Not today.

3. Neon White. An absolute blast to play. I got into a big race through the levels war with a friend of mine ,and we pushed each other pretty hard in this game. Finding out little tricks to generate more speed or cut across parts of the level was always satisfying, and I absolutely love watching footage of the world records for these levels and going "Brahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" when someone does something sick. Ideal way to play this game to me is you gotta play it with someone who is going to make you chase their time or improve on your times. As just a game to play idk, you're not gonna see the genius of the game.

4. Signalis. Not spoiling shit. Play it. It's definitely wearing it's Silent Hill and other shit its ripping off on its sleeve, unlike Silent Hill (as much as this pains me to say) signalis actually plays well. If you disliked the part where teh game takes the map away from you because they took the map away from you. That's a skill issue.

5. Dead Space 2. I'd like to be one of the people bothered by how bad boys 2 this game is and drops any pretense of being a horror game and goes full shoot shoot gore. The problem is I love bad boys 2, and this game is probably the best action horror game since Fear, and a tier below the RE4s. Maybe in a few playthroughs Ill think even higher of it, but my first playthrough of this? highly impressed.

6. Max Payne. I miss when Remedy was good

7. Max Payne 2. See above, except they made bullet time more busted in 2. It's not as cheap as 1, but the game is more of a pushover. Still several classes better than anything this studio made since in terms of story and gameplay.

8. Silent Bomber. Yo this game is sick, you play like an isometric action game where you plant bombs as you move and make enemies walk near the bombs or over the bombs and they explode. It's sick, the music rips, highly recommend this as a PS1 game to go back to. Pretty high on my PS1 game rankings now.

9. Into The Breach. FTL was more crack, this is probably more fair, I like punching my own mechs into an enemy and that enemy pushes into another enemy who falls into the ocean and dies. Lit. It just lacks the overall depth of a proper Xcom (new or old) and Jagged Alliance.

10. Disco Elyisum. I thought i would hate a game all about talking and shit, but it's good? I like the writing tomas, Cuno is my dude, and I like the skill checks. It's like a proper rpg.

11. Hi Fi Rush. Love the weekenders vibe of the game, its failing is an action game is that it lacks spice. The thing that makes it enjoyable (being a rhythm action game) is ultimately the ceiling on how good the game can be. Just out classed by favorite games in the genre, better than the rest tho. Play it Tomas. It's the best platinum game we playing until Kamiya gets a new studio, and it isn't even a Platinum game.

12. Sanabi. Swinging is cool as fuck, play it. I skipped the story, you're not getting me Korea

13. Vividlope. Uh I don't know how to describe this tbh tomas, but i think you would dig it. You know like.......i don't know if you played mario galaxy or mario 3d world. But you know those parts where mario has to walk on tiles and light them all up and it gives him something. It's like that turned into a bigger game, go look at footage. I think it's kino.

14. Resident Evil 5. The RE4 parts save this game from its gen7 energy ass bullshit. It is watered down RE4 tho, and ive played better coop zombie shooters released the year prior to this game and the year it came out. Without mercs i wouldn't call this game good tho if we keeping it a stack.

15. Dead Space OG. So this game is shlocky horror, why is ti better than the remake? Because I don't like the change that nodes don't open node specific door (taking away an interesting choice in the flow of the game), more constant upgrading in the new game with the nodes, and this is the deal breaker: objectively the enemies deal less damage on the remake and attack less. Shit makes no sense to me but ive seen these goons run right up to Isaac and just refuse to swing. It's like some weird bug Canada refuses to fix in the remake, and on that alone I think it's worth playing the OG. It still looks good, it still sounds amazing, and it plays well. The peeling system is a waste.

16. Diablo 4. My friends made me get this game. I hate diablo, this game wasn't that bad tho. The demon mom can get it tho, don't shame me.

17. Dead Space remake. Stop letting canada make video games. Pls. In between Rainbow Six Siege and today of me typing this, they have made one good video game: celeste. And that's an indie team. which mean triple A is goose eggs. Bald frauds.

18. Control. I wanted so hard to like this game, the visual and presentation style is sick. Sam Lake saw a shit ton of Hannibal or something. The deal breaker is that Remedy hasn't discovered how to make combat variety even when they were good and made max payne games, and it's a flaw they never corrected when the core gameplay of their games wasn't good. In controls case at first glance it plays well, Jesse controls nicely, guns have a nice pop, lots of effects, and powers. The downside? Why the fuck would you ever do anything other than Throw? it erases any and all challenge from the game, the guns by themselves aren't compelling enough to not use it. Seize is a boring power, if you already lowered their health, why not just kill them? And the shield basically is useless till niche scenarios of overextending because you can throw, kill enemies, get health back. It's fun enough because its got great game feel, but it's ultimately a hollow gameplay experience.

19. Alan Wake. I already roll my eyes at Sony first party games that are about a sad dad and in a forest. And im not any less fond of Sad husband and in a forest. This gameplay is fine, you light dudes, you shoot them, and the story doesn't really come together in any interesting way. Strong kinaesthetics again elevate what would be mid third person shooting, and the game at least has some atmosphere. But it's ultimately a pushover, but hey the dlc actually has encounter ideas, maybe Remedy was getting better (is what i would say if i hadn't played quantum break, control, and alan wake 2).

20. Mass Effect 3. Citadel DLC is cool. Leviathan is cringe at the end, it's total dork bait (the soverign scene was cool because the reapers were mysterious, leviathan is just bioware trying to cope justify their shit ending, miss me with that shit). Btw this is the fault of Canada.

21. Alan Wake: American Nightmare. Yo what if Finland just cant make video games and I just really like maltese falcon

22. Citizen Sleeper. I wanted to like the vibe of this. I don't. Make a video game pls.

23. Starfield. Bethesdas games have bad game mechanics, bad rpg systems, bad questing, bad writing, the world is boring, the exploring sucks, the mods are pure cope from the PC servant race. So yeah I don't like their games, I think they make shitty games. This is more of it, but they have upgraded from bad gameplay to mediocre shooting. The main plot I guess interested me more than bethesda stories usually do since scifi, i like the terrorforms questline. So hooray, maybe in 10 more games Bethesda might make it to Mid+, and by the time I'm 80, Todd Howard Jr will make Bethesda's first good video game.

Btw your website doesn't connect when I login and try to come back. Shits weird.
