Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood Screenshot

If you love westerns and Call of Duty games. That's what this game is, Call of Duty in the old west.

I'm really enjoying this game. The graphics are really good, the gunplay is fun, the mini-games with the western themes like shootouts, duels, and even horseback riding are cool touches.

The single player is much better than the Modern Warfare or World at War games because the story is actually interesting. I think this is the best western game ever made, at least until Red Dead Redemption comes out, and who knows how that will turn out.

The only bad thing is that there aren't many people playing online, which kind of sucks. But some of the maps and multiplayer matches are really cool, like the one where you play bank robbers VS lawmen. It's like Counter-Strike but in the old west, which sounds fun.

Just thought I shout out to this game! I think it's overlooked. This game is a huge improvement over the first one, which I haven't played. But I saw the graphics and videos and it looked pretty bad. Bound in Blood is really fine tuned and a much better experience.

That's how the game looks! Those screenshots aren't pre-rendered. I'm surprised at how good the graphics are.

Also, I'd write a review but maybe the game was out for awhile to warrant one.

I hope you enjoy the game as much as I am enjoying it. Happy

This really is the best western themed shooter made so far, so much better than Gun or the first Red Dead game or the other crappy PC western games.

By the way, have you played the first one? I'm wondering if I should check it out just to play it for the story since Bound in Blood is the prequel.

I am having the same dilemma with Darksiders and Ass Creed 2 right now.

I took out AC2 and put in Darksiders just to take a peek... 4 or 5 hours later...  Sad

I'm having trouble taking it out!

I have no idea. I was planning to get GUN, and the first Call of Juarez also to quench my western thirst, but at the rate I finish games, this sole game should carry me over until Red Dead Redemption hits the streets anyway.

I dont really like western games. Some are okay, Red Dead Revolver was pretty fun, Strangers wrath was sorta cool. I just don't like deserts and old towns and boring dusty canyons and mines.

I've been hearing quite a bit of praise for this game so I may have to pick it up one day. The western game that has me really amped right now is Red Dead Redemption. I checked out the latest vid on it on XBLM and it totally impressed the hell out of me. I never did play the first Red Dead and really wasn't considering Redemption at all but after watching that vid I'm going to be all over this game.

this is one of the PS3 games already in extreme hobo price zone which i've been trying to resist because i will most likely never get to play, let alone finish.  it does look good though

here's a few other temptations:

Red Faction: Guerilla - £10
Bionic Commando - £12
Call of Juarez BiB - £15
Riddick - Assault on Dark Athena - £15

___

Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
