My first nomination goes to:

I've been watching this since the first episode and a second series has been confirmed.

Based on a comic book series, the TV show resembles a few things, like XIII or the Bourne Identity. I would recommend it here as it's the kind of light hearted action based series people here would appreciate. It has lots of Bourne Identity type action in it, mixing comedy and even a little winks at romance here and there, nothing heavy or womanly though.

Mark Valley plays the lead character Christopher Chance who was an assasin, turned personal protection bodyguard. He's like a body guard on steroids, skydiving down onto buildings, beating up several guys at once, facing off against impossible odds and finding clever ways to beat the system. It's an easygoing watch, you can set your brain to cruise control for the most part, but it usually surprises you with a plot twist or a clever trick here and there.

Usually the episodes starts with the action and an intense scene, then the credits roll and we get to see how they got to that point. The lead character actually has an interesting back story too, but I wont spoil it. Try watching it from episode 1. The first episode is also the worst though, aside from a Princess Diana episode, so bear that in mind and try and stick with it.

It's a lot of fun.

I watch about 5 television shows:

1.  Lie to Me - Anything that Tim Roth is good by default, but I think this is the greatest show on television.  It's a group of people who are essentially trained to identify when other people are lying by their facial ticks, voice levels, hands gestures, etc.  Really cool premise.  They do a good job of wrapping up a lot of other mysteries on the show that get handled with detective work too so that the main premise never seems old.

2.  Leverage - I just started watching this show despite it being about 2 years old.  It's essentially Ocean's 11 the TV show.  Nuff said.

3.  Memphis Beat - This is Jason Lee's new TV show (previously from My Name Is Earl).  Frankly it's not all that good, but it is getting better with each episode. It has a long way to go, and as it stands it's just a run of the mill cop/detective show. But having grown up primarily in the South I appreciate the Memphis locale and that's why I keep going back. It's refreshing to see a TV show where Southerners aren't either portrayed as rednecks or hosts of a cooking show.

--------- these next two used to be my favorite shows when I didn't watch actual scripted programs, but frankly I only watch them when I'm in the mood now.

4. No Reservations - This is the travel/food show that Anthony Bourdain hosts. I love the guy. He's an amazing writer, lived a hell of a life, and is as jaded and cynical as they come. He drinks, smokes, and swears up a storm.  Basically he's a personal hero.  The show isn't as good as early seasons though. Partially because I think he's sort of getting a little old now and doesn't quite have the fire and genuine frustration with the world he once had. He's made a lot of money from books and the show and as Dee Snider (another personal hero) once said, "it's hard to genuinally pissed off once you've got a ton of money and live a really comfortable life."

5.  Man v. Food - Basically it's a show where a fat guy goes through eating challenges.  Can the host Adam eat a 5 pound hamburger in 50 minutes?  Can eat a dozen atomically spicy wings with no water or milk to cool him down? Can he go through 4 pounds of pancakes?  This show combines gluttony with the "never say die" attitude and I consider it the perfect reprsentation of my country.

I've seen adverts for these. I think if I could catch them from the first episode I would roll with it.

I watch this. I'm fascinated by the way these guys cook their food, the over indulgent savaragy is entertaining. Did you see the Sasquatch burger? No one could eat that!

Breaking Bad

"Breaking Bad follows protagonist Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife (Anna Gunn) and teenage son (RJ Mitte) who has cerebral palsy.  White is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given a prognosis of two years left to live.  With a new sense of fearlessness based on his medical prognosis, and a desire to secure his family's financial security, White chooses to enter a dangerous world of drugs and crime and ascends to power in this world.  The series explores how a fatal diagnosis such as White's releases a typical man from the daily concerns and constraints of normal society and follows his transformation from mild family man to a kingpin of the drug trade."

It was actually Wii's Netflix on Demand that got me hooked. Both first seasons were offered so I decided to check them out.  Though I had caught the first episode or two of Lie to Me when it started last year, but was never able to catch it at its regular time.

Psychoville! I haven't watched any TV shows since that was on, though...The last few episodes were up there with the best of The League of Gentlemen. Brilliant stuff.

I could tell you guys that Supernatural is awesome because of the chemistry between the two main characters. Or I could tell you that the series is funny at times and very dark at other times. Or I could mention that the use awesome music like Carry On My Wayward Son really well. Or perhaps you would like to now that Supernatural has the best personification of Death ever, as can be seen here.

But all that is not necessary for this will be enough

Oh you can see al the episodes here

Supernatural is awesome, and is completely butchered by Channel 10 here. It's disappeared completely mid-season on multiple occassions. Sad

Do you know how daunting it is when someone asks you to get into 4 years worth of shows?

You will watch them in two weeks. It is too addicting. It is much easier to do this online, just watch on after the other.

I hate watching things on my computer. I have this fancy blu-ray player that can wirelessly connect to the internet, but I have no dongle. Hrm

By the way, for anyone who has Netflix their On Demand service is offering the first season of Lie to Me.  I mentioned it above and I highly recommend checking it out.  One of the best shows on TV today in my opinion. Like most shows it took 3 or 4 episodes for it to really find their groove but once they hit it the show was excellent.
