What game do you think has the best side content? My vote goes toward the Arkham games especially Arkham Asylum. The Ridfler trophy search is just plain fun and sometimes more compelling than the main quest. I love the environmental puzzles. What about you?

I very rarely bother with additional content so I'm probably not well suited to answer this but I thought the extra challenges in Pikmin 2 were fantastic.  I remember finishing the game left me just wanting more, and that is exactly what I got with the additional challenges mode.

If you mean things which are incorporated inside the game ... I suppose the drug dealing mini game in GTA: Chinatown.  I was totally hooked on that and spent dozens of hours just doing drug runs instead of pushing ahead with the plot missions.

I imagine nowadays it's all about online modes with games like GTA and Metal Gear Solid etc

Now that Bugs brings up Pikmin it makes me think about Pikmin 3. I probably spent as much time playing the challenge modes in that game as I did completing the story mode. Those were fun and super addicting.

Pikmin 3 also has them?  Awesome.  I will need to get to that one of these days.  In fact I have no idea why I never played Pikmin 3.  The first two are amongst my favourite games ever and I spent forever blathering about how they need to make a sequel, and then they did ... and I still haven't played it.  Instead I spent my time playing tosh like Hey! Pikmin.

A lot of people at Recetera say Witcher 3’s side quest are the best.  It’s hard to disagree.

I'd put Yakuza over Witcher. Its side stuff has more heart.

Oh...I thought you meant DLC or expansion packs.

Side stuff...shit...I'd have to think about that.

Oh you definitely need to check it out. I think it's the best in the series. the only complaint I've really heard about it from anyone was that they did not like having to juggle three separate commanders for tasks. Other than that, I think it borrowed the things the first one did right that the second one didn't bring along and made a damn good game.

Majora's Mask did have some great stuff. I used to love the fishing stuff in Ocarina of Time back in the day too. Seems barebones now, but it was great at the time.

Also, the card game in Final Fantasy 8.....wasted hours on that.

Oh man, I loved the card game in Final Fantasy VIII. Put countless hours into it.

The damn card game is probably what kept me from finishing FF8. I got within a few hours of the ending but got too distracted by the card game.
