No.
I gave up after 8 because I just don't give a shit at this point. That's the category the rest of the Mario games fall into....the "Good but I just don't give that much of a shit" category.
I guess Odyssey is second as the Galaxy games tie at #1. 2 is better than 1, but 1 was first and did all the heavy lifting.
After that I'd go Super Mario Land for gameboy.
To me, Galaxy 2 great awesome but it also feels like an expansion pack. I have a hard time thinking of it as a standalone game. Kind of like Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.
Galaxy 2 is my favorite 3D Mario game because it is basically the 2D games in 3D.
Though I haven't played Odyssey yet.

I wasn't really a fan of Super Mario Bros. 2 because it was so different from the rest of the games in the series. I did like aspects of the game like how Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Peach played but even before I knew it wasn't the real Super Mario Bros. 2 it didn't feel like Mario to me.

Explain 3D world?! Its the most 2D 3D mario ever. It feels like the best translation of classic mario in 3D.
