So, considering I beat three full games this month, I figured out it was time to purchase a game or two.

EA Sports Active and Rogue Galaxy are new. The rest are used. Wii controller just snuck in the picture.

Yay!

Take Final Fantasy X out of the box and use it for skeet shooting.  Complete and utter crap.  If it weren't so unflexible I'd recommend using it for toilet paper.  Seriously don't play that.  Just put it on a shelf or donate it to charity or something.

That's what I say about all Final Fantasy games.

That's what I say about all Final Fantasy games.

The first half dozen or so weren't bad.  Granted the genre hadn't advanced that much just yet, but there was a lot of good things about the series.  But once 7 came around they decided on taking the game into the "epic" direction (see that other epic thread for more details), and by the time they got to FFX the entire series had become a cliche of the genre. So make fun of all the games from FF 8 on, but leave the first 10 years worth of games alone.

Bah, don't listen to the naysayers, FFX is a great game. Sure it's more restrictive in manuevering around in the overworld compared to other FF games but it's still quite a nice looking game by PS2 standards, has some excellent enemy and boss designs, wicked summon effects, great combat system, and some solid music. Really good bunch of games there overall except for Ico. I tried to play it before but found it to be a boring blurry mess. It didn't take me long before I just gave up on the game.

LOL Kickass responses.

I bought EA Sports Active for my wife, but I fully intend to create a profile and give it a try for about a week or so, before I get bored. I'll be posting impressions during the week.

6 kg? No wonder you like giving these games. If only there was a Wii-boob job game.
