It's working out quite well. They're exactly as I remember them being, well built and they brought back a strong sense of nostalgia too  I used the 3-button pad as my main Genesis controller back in the day; I only used the 6-button pad for games that required them.

Very cool to hear. I always liked the Genesis controller. One of my favorites. It might not have worked for fighting games, but it was perfect for everything else.

There's a huge sale on the Switch eShop.  I bought Flipping Death for 90% off and Unruly Heroes for 35% less than regular price.

Flipping Death is a 2d game set in the same world as Stick it to the Man, which I enjoyed more for its atmosphere and humour than it's gameplay.  I expect the same from this not-sequel.

Unruly Heroes is made by former Ubisoft staff in the same engine as the recent Rayman games.  It looks just as good and is a 2d brawler/platformer for up to 4 players.

Looking forward to playing both!

Yeah I’m probably going to take a bit of a break from Iceborne to dedicate my time towards this game.

I am so tempted by the Humble Monthly bundle with the Crash Bandicoot and Spyro remakes (but not so much Call of Duty: WWII). I haven't bought them yet but it's looking likely.

I bought Transistor yesterday on the Switch.  I played Bastion back in the day but left quite unimpressed.  I was aware of the, apparently improved, 'not quite sequel' Transistor, but could never be bothered.  It was 80% off now though, so I let my curiosity get the better of me.

Technically I purchased these as they were promotional items for computer parts:

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (Hrm), The Outer Worlds (Uneasy) and 4 months of Xbox Games Pass (Happy).

With all the talk of Codemasters lately I picked up a copy of Onrush for $10. even though it's supposed to be primarliy an online game the single player mode is reportedly good enough in itself, and the innovation in the game was enough fo rsomeone like me to want to check out and have as a reference point.

It has been getting good reviews. I still have about 3 ways to play Genesis carts, so it's a no go for me for now.

Recently downloaded the Dead Rising Triple Pack for Xbox One. It was $17.49 for the Shocktober sale. Was meaning to get this for quite some time as I really enjoy the DR games and it seemed like a good time of year to get it. 🎃

Been playing the first Dead Rising and I’m loving it as much as I did the first time around. It’s even better then the original even beyond the obvious graphical bump. It runs at 60fps and the loading is greatly reduced.
