So, we all have games (except aspro, because he owns all games that have ever existed, lol) that have proven elusive or difficult to find. What are those games whose absence screams at you from an empty space in your shelf?

I'm currently tracking down the PS2 versions of Silent Hill 2 and 3, as well as the Siren games. The SH games are not rare at all, but I am wary of most vendors at Mercado Libre (mexican version of Ebay), and almost all copies are used. I usually check out a number of Blockbuster stores over here that deal with used games, but so far I haven't had any luck. I got SH4 in a SH2 case for the Xbox, but the emulation on the 360 is horrible, so I stopped shortly after starting the game.

Another game would be Eternal Darkness. I think I saw a used copy at a shop in a tiny mall over here. Will check it out this week, but it'll probably set me back around 30 bucks (their equivalent in mexican pesos).

As for games that I'm proud to have picked up...I dunno...my collection isn't big enough for that, so I'll leave that part to the heavy collectors over here. I am, however, happy of having Endless Ocean, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn and Valkyria Chronicles.

i have always wanted radiant silvergun (and a japanese saturn that would play it) even though people say it's overrated.  it hurts me not to have it.  fire emblem: radiant dawn i would quite like to have

also want the donkey konga games and jungle beat with the bongos, all of which were stolen from me.  while i'm at it i would like my xbox collection back most of which was stolen from me, including stuff i was very proud of like jet set radio future, the longest journey: dreamfall, kotor, shenmue 2, ninja gaiden black and more and my entire N64 collection which included most of the greats from nintendo and rare

i'm proud of: rez, ikaruga, sega soccer slam, guitaroo man, ouendan, daigasso, slitherlink (well i was proud until i exchanged it for two ps3 games with a friend), frequency, amplitude, vib ribbon, phantasy star online episode 1 & 2 (NGC), yakuza 1 & 2 (not rare but still proud).

i have the silent hill collection on ps2.  i think that's what you want.  it has games 2, 3 and 4 and it was very affordable, somehow i don't think they pressed many copies of it though.

I own nothing of value (game-wise), but I have played pretty much every game in creation...

Yeah, I even owned a Saturn, an import cart with memory expansion and back-up --AND-- the ever-elusive Radiant Silvergun for a while!

I hold onto nothing (except my own wang and ocassionally someone else's) but I gots years of "hands-on" experience!

Did you actually play this? Or shrink wrapped?

I want the World Ends with you, I actually had it on order and the site said it was unavailible so I got something else. Also I want Proffesor Layton but it seems a little weird.

I guess I'm proud of my older games because they are old and not easy to get a hold of. Dreamcast and N64 games mostly, even though I never play them.

I'm proud of my 4 game (soon to be 5 game) Phoenix Wright collection and Hotel Dusk. I'm proud and yet sad about Oblivion standard version. I want the GOTY one but it requires a hard drive. FU!

The shenmue games I am especially fond of, lots of memories.

You know its because of you that I now keep games shrink wrapped. I like it, it means I complete the games I have before starting a new one.

I'm getting through some stuff at pace at the moment. Happy

What would you do if someone ripped open all the shrink wraps on your games? Would your world explode?

No. My kids do that all the time, and sometimes worse, lol. Most of my original Xbox games and some of the 360 ones have teeth marks on the cases because of my youngest daughter.

The game I like the most in my collection is a boxed copy of Gunpey for the Wonderswan. I figured if I was going to own a Wonderswan I should have that game for all the reasons you should already know about, but if you don't here is a wiki link.

I also like my Game & Watch games, particularly the original multi-screen Mario Bros

Except for Ogre Battle 64 I don't think there are any of the hard to find games I am missing.  I would like more games for the current gen, but I think I've bought most of the big titles.

Proud? I am not really proud of anything to be honest. There are games I love, but nothing to be proud of. I must be dead emotionally.

Games I want, plenty on the DS. So many I don't know where to start. Wii I want to try plenty of them also PES, Anno, Wii Fit +, Wii Sports Resort, Trilogy, Klonoa, Crystal Bearers, EA active, Jungle Beat, Godfather, Scarface, etc.

On the PC RPGs from the 90s like Planescape: Torment, Falout 1 and 2, Deus Ex, System Shock 2, Vampire Bloodlines, etc.

Frisbee?

The first Viva Pinata had a little frisbee session. I had to buy it again.

Chibi Robo Park Patrol for the DS is kind of a gem I think. . . and I have a Super Famicom cart of Final Fantasy V which I used to play with a printed out translation - though I suppose that wouldn't really be as impressive if I lived in Japan.

I don't know I don't really have too many gems anymore.  I'm not the collector that I once was, but I suppose the most valuable games I ever had were the original Harvest Moon for the SNES and Dragon Warrior IV for NES.  Those were pretty tough games to find back in the day.  In fact, when I was trying to track down Harvest Moon I actually got into an arguement with a Funcoland employee (predecessor to Gamestop in terms of douchebag employees) as to whether or not the game was ever brought into the US.

This as well. I want to try both Baldur's Gate games, Icewind Dale, Planescape: Torment, Homeworld 2.

I'm not a collector in the sense of wanting to own games for the sake of owning them, so the question is nonsensical to me.  In terms of titles I'm glad to have gotten when I could, Super Mario Bros DX for GBC stands out.  The hardest game to find had to be Harvest Moon 64, which seemed to vanish from the face of the Earth.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobile

The rarest game I currently own is River Raid II.

The game that I'm most proud to own is E.T. Grinning
