Seems weird to me. I've seen many films multiple times, I wouldn't think of delivering impressions of a film I've seen multiple times over many years unless someone specifically asked.

Then why post comments on anything I posted? I didn't specifically ask you to. Nyaa

I just finished watched "the killer inside me"

A noir murder thriller taking place in Texas at around the 1950ies.  Directed by Michael Winterbottom, starring Casey Afleck, Kate Upson and Jessica Alba and based on a novel by Jim Thomson.  Excellent film, very well made and very unsettling.  Reminded me of some of the best work of Joel and Ethan Coen.  I think Aspro in particular will appreciate this

Last night I watched 24 Hour Party People.  It's a film done in semi-documentary style about the music scene in Manchester from the post-punk scene of the late 70ies to the start of acid house and the rave/club/ecstasy culture of the early 90ies.  It basically follows the ventures of TV presenter turned music entrepreneur Tony Wilson and the rise and fall of Factory Records and the Hacienda and bands like Joy Division/New Order and the Happy Mondays.  It's a great film and a piece of history for anyone with an interest in the Manchester/Madchester music scene which should really be any self-respecting music fan.

Saw the new Clash of the Titans. It was okay, nothing good, nothing bad.

Prefer the old movie.

Saw two horror films tonight at a friend's halloween movie night thingybob.

Rec 2

Quite good but not as good as the first IMO.  Sequel symptom

High Tension (Switchblade Romance)

Stunning photography and use of sound and great movie overall.  More of a slasher film than a horror but it was nice.

Before watching High Tension we watched about 20 minutes or so of a British film called Mum and Dad but the girls in the group got too squeamish with the sexual nature of the torture scenes and asked to change to something else.  It looked quite good though so I'm probably watching it tomorrow

Tonight I finally watched a movie i'd been wanting to for a long time: In Bruges

The plot is extremely simple but very effective and the film is extremely well-made with some very witty dialogue and some wonderful performances.  I was so impressed I looked up the director's filmography and was sad and very surprised to find out this is his first, and so far only, film (besides a short film which I have to find and watch).  I recommend it very highly.

From what I've seen I think it's kinda boring, but I need to see the whole thing.

It's boring and the whole film is a fakeout that ends with a wink to camera.

I actually wrote a post yesterday that was killed by IE. It basically said that the film was boring, violent, sometimes disturbing and a massive fakeout at the end. So Foolz should love it Nyaa

I've only seen Perfect Blue, Paprika and Tokyo Godfathers. Apart from Perfect Blue they were all great. I have Millenium Actrss, haven't seen it yet.

Paprika inspired Inception by the directors own admission.

Tokyo Godfathers is a perfect Christmas film, sort of bittersweet.
