OMG! LOL

I was going to devote a whole hour to the podcast, i was so excited for it. LOL

You guys should have cut it off right as GG was about to speak, you spend all this time getting him on it would have been awesome if you didnt let him say anything.

Which, by the way, was an technical disaster.  You keep losing each other with audio connections; you've got connections dropping altogether; microphones cutting in and up and down.  There's breathing on microphones, and somehow highly variant levels of background white noise.  Then you've got the voices in the background.  Not to mention you didn't even have an opening, which made it overly difficult to sync the audio without a master recording, thoug the feedback in your microphones managed to make themselves useful here.  And finally, whatever the hell this noise was.

WTF guys, you can't have it any worse than Australia when it comes to Internet and computers.

(yes, these are serious complaints, but keep it up guys in terms of the content and work put in.  We do want more Euro podcasts!)

LOL

Bugsy was talking in tongues again!

If my mic was cutting out that could've been cause I think I turned it off once or twice to do something.

The sound problems (that I could hear when doing it anyway) improved drastically when Darth left, but that might not have been the case.

Yeah, I should do some 'splainin.

I had to use my Singstar mics, which meant that I got the feedback from the others. It was way too late to get my proper setup ready, so I apologize on that regard.

At least there is room for improvement.

Oh Iga I watched the first 3 episodes of:

wolverine_xmen.jpg

Not bad at all, it reminds me very much of the 1992-1997 series. The writing and voice acting are on par, and I think that a lot of the actors are the same as that series. I'm not a fan of the art style, colour palette or new costumes but overall this is a pretty good series so far.

One of the things I didn't like was that it was influenced by the movies, making wolverine the focus, Xavier disappearing, Jean Grey gone -yeah I know about the Phoenix etc-. The storm character model is bad too.

oh man, did you edit out my godchild?  if so i will not download!

the connections were terrible.  don't know if it was skype but at the beginning everyone was breaking up badly, especially darth.  near the end it got smoother ... but the talk got boring, about movies and series etc.  i thought the game talk (first half-hour) was pretty good and there were some funny bits

As for the podcast itself

-The PSP Go trade-in program was a consideration mentioned by a Sony rep.  The idea would have been to trade in UMD discs for credit towards downloads; there was no mention of being able to download the same titles.

-Foolz had the perfect description of Tales of Symphonia.  Incredibly cliched, yet very good story.  The voice-acting was not atrocious.

-It was a bit directionless, so the movie/tv discussion went a little awry, but I do like having the inclusion of off-topic in the Euro-cast.  This is part of why I wanted to set up two podcasts is that one could do some things differently.

-I know what Iga was getting at with the wand pointing.  If you look at a solid-colour sphere, it looks identical nomatter which angle you look at it, so pointing with just that is impossible.  If you add a point of reference, for example a line around the sphere, you can differentiate angles.

I started to sort of understand the problem with direct pointing and the sony controller. Because its a globe of light designed to be seen at all times the eyetoy will read the position of the ball whether the controller is held upright, at an angle, upside down, what ever. Whereas with the wii controller the IR has you directly pointing at the screen with the controller horizontal.
