So, uh, that assassination is probably the most interesting thing the Trump administration has done. I take it the GOP has calculated it needs a war to be re-elected?
Like, maybe don't pick Iran, though, guys lol.
SupremeAC said:Yeah, it seems like a very rash move of warmongering and completely out of proportion. Let's hope things don't get out of hand.
Personally, I can't see a war with Iran happening. The cost seems too close to the potential profit, but maybe I'm thinking too short term. No Iran, and it's pretty much carte blanche for America, Israel and Saudia Arabia. But good luck with that. It's a pity Iran doesn't have nukes (), or this wouldn't even be up for discussion.

Thanksgiving?
Remarkable about how if some nation kills an individual it's referred to as an act of terror or a murder, but when the US kills an Iranian general for not much of a reason at all those words are replaced by 'an attack on', 'he was taken out' and other, much more neutral wordings that only hint on the fact that that person is now very much dead.

Hopefully, there is something to be thankful for.

To be fair, according to most modern definitions, terrorism refers to attacks on civillian targets.
The funniest headline I saw was "Iranian general dead"...did he have a heart attack or something?
Anyway, now that Iraq has a democracy (thanks America!), I wonder if America will respect its parlimentary decree by withdrawing all their millitary personnel? Australia is currently waiting for America to tell it what to do.

Pedant I was just taking some semantic liberties for added dramatic effect.
If I were Trump I'd tell you guys to go home, make yourselves useful and rake your forests.

Also a plane headed to Ukraine just crashed, and people on the internet have already concluded it was shot down. Luckily it was a civillian aircraft, so no one involved is likely to really bat an eyelid beyond lip service. But people on the internet will be pissed!

Reading the passenger list usually turns up the reason. Mass shootings are another good way to cover up a takedown, some believe.

So, Nancy Pelosi ey? That there was none too polite, tearing up the speach for all to see. That'd be something even Trump would not have done. Poor form.
She should have had insults written on the back of each page. As she switches to the next page, a new insult pops up.
Wasted opportunity.

That would have been brilliant. Hopefully the late night comedy shows do that at least.

It's actually a move out of the Trump playbook. Do something small and petty and distract from a much bigger event. The majority of State of the Union news I've seen today is about this, and very little about anything he said.
I love five word sentences!
