This weekend I played several hours of Metal Gear Solid 2. It's a good game but so far it just seems the same exact game as the first one but less varied. Even the bosses feel very similar to identical (another plane/helicopter?).
I played as far as Vamp. I hate this guy. I get him down to just the last one or two hits then he starts doing the stupid "I will pin down your shadow" thing and killing me then I have to start allover again. Very annoying boss.
I've been playing Fallout: New Vegas. Liking it so far, although I have only reached Primm. Tinkered with it a bit, just a few mods (faces, weapons, hi res textures, new radio stations, some UI tweaks, and an ENB preset with a custom palette). Other than that, it's practically vanilla.
This weekend I've rescued Firefighters, Catwoman, tackled The Penguin, hushed Hush, and hung out with the Joker and toked some crazy gas in Batman: Arkham Knight. What about you Arkamites?
Been doing the last few things I wanted to do in Witcher 3, and that game really needs the motiviation of the main story to keep you properly interested. Discovering new things is still actually kinda fun, though.
I got the last achievement in Bayonetta 2, so now I just need to S+ tag climax...and if I am truly blind with love, play through the game on easy to unlock the only accessory I'm missing: the marionette. :X
I've also been playing a tiny bit of a few racing games, but the highlight has been the brutality that is the American muscle series on the original Grid. The races so far have been on street courses, and the AI is very agressive; so half the racing is shunting, the other is sliding around the corners because you're in a muscle car and it's an arcade game. The open wheel car races are weirdly similar becuase the AI is the same, and the cars get so bunched up, everyone just barges their way through. That'd be a great way to lose all your wheels in reality lol.
But most importantly I played the MGSV demo, and it was amazing. It's got everything great about MGS stealth: the improvisation, fucking up and having to completely change your strategy, the sense of humour (the animation for sprinting while carrying someone is amazing) but in a much more freeflowing and open environment...and with incredibly smooth mechanics. That you have a chance to tranquilise anyone who notices you also means you can be much more agressive than you could in older games, and it's such a cool mechanic. Carrying the chick out at the end, I just sprinted through half the map, headshotting everyone who noticed me. As if I could have done something like that after like an hour with the mechanics in an old MGS game lol. Will find out if they haven't made things too easy when I do hard. Jack Bauer is genuinely bad as Snake, though. I went into it with an open mind, but he sounds like he doesn't give a shit, slurs his words, and his anguished scream is so pathetically halfhearted. Sounds completely out of his depth among the other voice actors.

I haven't done tag climax stuff all that much : D
Remember when I told you to play the Bayonetta games because they were fantastic? good times, good times. Glad to know as usual I was correct.

If only there was another Platinum beat 'em up I haven't played so I could follow Bayo 2 up with something good...

That's disappointing but not surprising.

Hopefully he'll have grown into the role by the time Phantom Pain is released.
Fired up a little Blazblue: Chrono Phantasma Extend last night. So awesome to still have a beautiful 2D fighting game going into this current gen.

Play The Wonderful 101 you massive piece of ausie shit.
The ending to the game is so fucking gloriously stupendously stupid. If Platinum out crazies that shit, I'll be shocked.
Bit more Splatoon. Level 9, ranking pretty well in matches. Not had time to go back to Shadow Warrior, which sucks.
Not a lot of time for gaming really. Started a bit of God of War Ascension, and fuckthisshit first boss has a QTE that requires mashing L1. I am mashing it at a rate of twelve times per 2 seconds and still not registering it in time withi is mother fucking bullshit.

Bah, well it's a terrific fighting engine, and the visuals for that game are HOLY SHIT good. I think it's lacking feature wise from my understanding, but I give no fucks since the fighting engine is top notch. Plus PS3 v PS4 cross platform play online and stuff. It's pretty rad.

Yeah I've watched several videos of it as well as some Twitch streaming of it. I could get the PS3 version but was thinking of just waiting until I got a PS4 instead.
I've been exhausted all week, so I've gotten in a (very) few rouds of Splatoon and I am comletely lost in a level fo Shadow Warrior. Annoyingly.
