Splatoon. The gameplay is damn addictive and a match is short enough that I can even play it when I only have 20 minutes time or so. I don't need 3 extra paragraphs to explain why it's so great. It's all gameplay.
The Wolf Among Us. It's a Telltale game so you know what to expect. I like it because it's a nice, modern spin on fables.
We usually don't have a wayp thread, but just announce it proudly Sunday evening with our wangs hanging out of out.

Why? Because I have to.
You poor guy, lol.
I'm playing beyond two souls, it's really awesome.
I'm playing...
...wait for it...

...Puzzle and Dragons!
Turned on my PS3 and tried a bit of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. Wow. Did they ever tone down the gore from the 360 game. Kind of disappointing.
Sigma 2 is Hayashi Ninja Dog doo-doo butter.
Ninja Gaiden 2 is cheap and hilariously unbalanced glorious badassery, unless you feel like suffering Master Ninja. Then it's "I hate my life the game"
Amazing old school PC FPS/ hack and slash. It is literalkly the spiritual succesor to Doom 2.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise and Broken Age. Three games at once is the most I've done in a while.

Yeah NG2 was indeed glorious on Normal or Easy. I just got Sigma 2 because it was on sale for very cheap recently and I just wanted to check it out.

I have to try Viva Pinata some time.
I went back to Cities Skylines and The Sims 4 yesterday after a six week break from each. I'm having a lot of fun with both games again.
I see you have a games beaten thread, didn't know where lazy info dump backlog what are you playing thread was (unless it's news thing), but I figured I'd make one. Pretty simple, what are your playing right now? digging it?
Me: Buttman: Arkham Asylum
Why? Because I was in the mood to go through Asylum and City before Knight, and I want to do something video related with them. So I decided procrastinate and be inefficient as humanly possibru. Also I never did any of the side quests in City (as in zero of them), and missed out on allegedly awesome content and something that made gliding around the city enjoyable, because I hate side content in 99% of open world ...you know 100% of open world games. It's always filler bullshit. But apparently I didn't play that game right so I'm willing to go back and correct said short coming.
Anyway Asylum, it still holds up really well for me. Kevin Conroy and Mark Hammil are still Batman and Joker, which is instantly awesome to me, anyone else is a let down. The combat definitely is missing tricks I enjoy about City and enjoyed while I was playing Origins, but overall it's still really satisfying in a way that Sleeping Dogs and Shadow of Mordor just aren't while using a similar style of combat. The rhythm nature of it works for me, the animations are well done, and when you get a nice clean freeflow going where you are throwing dudes, scorpioning people over, or breaking some dude's arm: FUCK YES. It's made going back to those challenge modes a joy to go back to. Purely judged as a beat em up though the combat wouldn't be able to carry an entire game (hence Origins being, well not very good), it's no God Hand in that regard. So there is the stealth, which isn't exactly Splinter Cell, but the predator styler badassery of it all is satisfying still.
Watching the guards get all scared, inverted takedowns, popping out from underneath on a thug, timing those glass wall detonations. Good times. It's been fun to go back to. The boss fights are garbage. Across the board. But that's more like the franchises big short coming with Mr Freeze being an exception. I also have mixed feelings on the Metroidy level design and the collectibles, but overall Good fucking game. The pacing on point sans one little back track stretch so far from the Botanicle Gardens to the Arkham Mansion.
