The majority of shit I played in 2014 was older stuff, and I still haven't played some of the biggest games of 2014. So my list is by no means definitive, but I guess it'll have to do.
- Destiny Destiny didn't live up to the hype, but its still great fun and still plays better than any other FPS to date.
- Alien Isolation One of the two major horror games of the year, and this was the best one. Truly, a survival horror game.
- Tomb Raider PS4 Basically the PC version with a new face for Lara (not sure why she looked fine) but this game is so damn good I'll list it again.
- Watch Dogs Another game that didn't match the hype, but is still damn good. Think Assassin's Creed 1 in that way.
- The Evil Within Is it as good as RE4? LOL no. Not even RE5. But it IS better than RE6 or Revelations or pretty much any other horror game besides Alien.
- FF10 HD A fine remaster of the last old school Final Fantasy release.
- Shadow of Mordor Damn good Batman/Ass Creed hybrid that I really wanna go back and play more of. Very addicting quality.
- Mario Kart 8 Mario Kart with a bit more attitude than usual...almost an F-zero like influence. Great racer.
- Halo Collection Glitchy as fuck, but the games still play great and the redone graphics and sound make a huge difference in Halo 2.
- Captain Toad A damn great, charming Nintendo game, slightly offbeat and under the radar. Reminds me of Luigi's Mansion in that way.
Okay, list ordered my votes:
- Captain Toad
- Mario Kart U
- The Wonderful 101
- Assasins Creed Black Flag
- Smash Bros - only played 30 mins
- Lego Batman 2
- Pushmo World Wii U
- Art of Balance U
- Bayonetta 1 and 2, played the demo of 2, that counts right?
- Halo 4
- Fire Emblem 3DS - only played for 30 mins, not bad or anything
- Phoenix Wright 3DS - only played for 30 mins
Well half of that list is games from previous years GG but I will do the work and only count the ones from 2014.

Yeah, that would be good.
I love Captain Toad, wish there was another book to it. It has three books but could use just one more. Or some DLC would be good. I think the DLC for MK8, along with the promised DLC next year has bumped the game up a bit in my estimation.

I say count them all and give his 11 and 12 games a 0 and -1. It's the only mathematically correct thing to do!
Also, I'll probably just not vote. I don't think I've played even 5 games that were released last year, and all of those are probably first party Nintendo games as well. We should do a GOTY2013 thread.
- Dragon Age: Inquisition
- Bayonetta 2
- Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition
- Titanfall
- Mario Kart 8
- Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
- Destiny
- Halo: The Master Chief Collection
- Watch Dogs
- Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Turns out I didn't play as many 2014 games as I thought this year, so I'll just throw down a quick top 5.
- Super Smash Bros (Wii U)
- Persona Q
- Hyrule Warriors
- Mario Kart 8
- Shovel Knight
And if possible I'd like to give negative 5 points to Telsagrad.
I am still waiting to vote until someone forces me, because I am going to beat Child fo Light this week, which would likely win, but I think This War of Mine has the potential to beat it if I owned it (which I don't).

I think This War of Mine is something you might be able to appreciate, but not like or enjoy.
Yeah, I was looking through Edge's review and was like... Something I'd want to beat but probably couldn't. The keeping everyone alive and happy looked a little RTSesy to me.
