I don't think Vader should get this game. I think he will find it too easy and totally hate it.
I don't think Steel or Robio should get this either. They will totally totally hate playing such a game with the whole family. Nintendo makes terrible games for families. Donkey Kong and his merry gang have no appeal for today's youth.

I'm nearly done with world 3, beautiful area. Think Lion King....with more fire. They've really gone out of their way to design worlds that aren't the conventional ice, fire, desert areas.
I think there's less hidden secrets in this game or it's even harder to find them. I want more crazy barrel shooting with set pieces falling apart everywhere.
Haven't been playing. The shoulder's been kinda bothering me lately, so when I tense up, it get's aggravated. Not that there aren't tense parts in Lightning Returns, but this one keeps you on the edge of your seat constantly and I'm just not up to it at the moment! I will get back to it soon though! Keep up the impressions, Travo!

The one thing I am curious about is the way you say there are less secrets... Maybe they tone down after the first two worlds, but I thought there was stuff in almost every screen that contained secrets! Gathering bunches of Bananas does something, pounding the ground in places does other things, picking up enemies and throwing them at objects, completing certain tasks in a short amount of time... It seemed to me like there was that kind of stuff everywhere! Does it tone down or are you talking about just the barrel stuff? Did past DKC games have secret exits too, a-la Mario World? I can't recall...

This is an all swimming level which starts off normally, then a giant octopus appears. You keep swimming across, dodging his tentacles. I reach a checkpoint, I'm safe, right? Nope, he continues to break the walls with his tentacles. I shoot through a barrel and it just freaking intensifies. The tentacles are swiping from the left, from the right. I have to keep swimming upwards. Great, spiky rocks! Did I mention the mines that I have to dodge or the spike lined walls? I finally reach a barrel! It's over? No, I shoot higher and higher until I reach two barrels on the left and right. The octopus is there swinging his crazy ass tentacles again. This time, there are three mines swinging from chains. I have to time my shots out of the barrel to break a chain so that the mine explodes on the octopus, but time is a factor! I have to break all three chains! He swings those fucking tentacles towards my barrel and...thank God, he's finished!
I might have been wrong about the secrets. I just found two secret exits this morning, plus....

Thread revival. This game in 1080 p looks amazing. For all who are worried about the difficulty, there’s an all new Funky Mode, an easy mode that gives you more hearts, let’s you swim underwater without dying and jump on spikes without taking any damage. Bosses are easier because they will provide you with more hearts during battle.
