Leo with the best impressions on the net, thanks! Raven with Move impressions, you killed the old raven and took his place right? Nyaa

I have heard the story is a big part of why people like it, seems it is working on Leo. I am more concerned about the pew pew pew BOOM BOOM, seems I will be satified.

Without spoiling too many songs, I have heard of a few, how is the soundtrack. It seems like its amazing.

Ugh. I haven't followed the previews of Infinite at all. I knew nothing of the story other than you were Booker and you had to rescue Elizabeth. The attitude of the people of Columbia... from their fundamentalism to their racism. Their air of supremacy. I find it very personally familliar and disturbing. I grew up around sentiments like that and it hits very, very close to home. The image of what America could have become and what some people would prefer it to be... I'm oversimplifying it, but... It's disturbing. One line in particular took place at a 'Raffle' and it was like a slap in the face. I thought to myself: "Did he just say what I thought he said?!"

...and then I just couldn't believe what I was seeing. You'll just have to play to find out what I am talking about, but even then you probably won't find it as bad as me. (Meaning the overall experience, NOT just that one particular scene.)

A raffle involving baseballs? I think I know the scene you're talking about.

LOL Nah, I own a Move controller, so I figured I'd try it out. I actually prefer playing the game with the Dual Shock 3.

I'm not liking the Vita Chamber-like respawn that steals your money. I disabled that feature in the original Bioshock, and relied on my own saves. You can't save your progress at any time; it's all based on checkpoints now. Argh!

I'm not sure I'm going to like this game or not. I'll try it again this weekend. I just can't seem to get the hang of it. I'm probably just too tired right now.

Oh, and Hard is definitely not the way to go for me. This game is absolutely brutal. I'll restart it on Medium next time. I'll probably enjoy it more.

Great impressions, can't wait until the weekend. I'll probably start off playing the game on hard.

Still playing on Hard. Still conflicted about the subject matter. Yes, Foolz, it was the baseball raffle I was referring to. The game is brilliantly addictive and you find yourself not able to stop playing, yet at the same time, I am so horrified at some of the things I am seeing, I feel guilty for continuing. This game makes me feel things even movies cannot. I guess the interactivity makes it more personal. I don't know if anyone else feels the same as me; it could be that I am just very sensitive to this kind of stuff, but, ugh... I love every minute I play, but it's also mentally and emotionally draining. I don't want to say anymore, because I don't want to build up the hype to the point where anyone becomes disappointed they don't feel the same way about it that I do, but I am very curious to know if it is JUST me. I'm also curious to see if anyone outside of the US feels the same way as I do.

Who else is playing besides me, Hamster and Foolz?

...and, Yeah, if you do come across them, do the Optional Side Quests. The first one I found involved finding a key to a chest, then backtracking through an area I had previously fought through to find what that key fit. It gave me an Infusion for my troubles. That's basically an Upgrade to your Salts (Magic Points), Health or Shields.

The soundtrack is as good as the original BioShock with as many Period Pieces as that game had. You'll recognize them all, yet they are from the early 1900's so I don't know the names or who sings them for the most part. I've heard at least a half a dozen I recognize. Without giving too many away, two of them I think everyone will know, as examples: "Ain't she sweet" and "Makin' Whoopie" have been playing on the radios quite a bit.

Okay, I give up. I can't get into this game at all right now. I'm going to play something else, and try it again later. I'm not saying the game is bad. It's just not what I'm looking for right now. Happy

Honestly, play up until the point where you first ride the Skyline, then decide to give up for now or not. You get the Murder of Crows Vigor, you get a few Infusions and you get some Gear to equip, and it wil become easier.

NON-STORY SPOILER: I got a piece of Gear that has a certain percentage to set enemies on fire with a Melee strike --and-- some Gear that both shortens the time between shield recharges and quickens the speed of the recharge and it makes fights much more manageable now... and, yes, I am still playing on Hard.

If you get that far, I don't think you're going to --WANT-- to give up! I've seen and heard some pretty repulsive and gut wrenching things so far, yet I am persisting!

I did.

Did you get the few items I mentioned? Are you just disinterested or are you still finding it too hard?
