I understand all your guys feelings towards the Conduit. I've been reading the previews and I feel the same way.
I guess it depends how much you like IR control in FPS. The previews however, have been pretty positive. I'm expecting 8/10s for the most part, as COD WOW scored.
Killzone 2 was said to be in the same range, only with hyper graphics on top. Everything we've seen before etc.
Great podcast guys, good quality.
Yoda, props, dont know how you edit that stuff.

Thanks for listening. I dont even remember the stuff I said, all I know is that yes Killzone is probably like the Conduit but with super high production values. But that is single player, Killzone 2 does have a fantastic multiplayer component, something that the Conduit will probably not have.

What makes Killzone 2's multiplayer so fantastic? Does it do something different than the standard FPS deathmatch?

It has a great leveling up system, sort of like CoD4. Its got multiple classes like Team Fortress 2. Within those classes you gain exp if you use the class skill to gain more advanced skills within the class. To win the match you need to work well as a team using all those classes. Its like a mix of CoD4 with TF2, its awesome. It is all team based btw. It just needs more maps and I wish the weapons were a bit better. Its a mode you can play for a long long time.

Ah, I see now. That does sound pretty impressive.
Homer for the podcast this week, do you have the Fallujah story? The game was cancelled by Konami, we talked about it on a previous podcast.
Also CD-project's Witcher cancellation and Capcom's Captivate if you haven't already.
@Doctor Stalin
If you want to host, you can do it next week. So Homer first then you the week after.
P.S. we need new people in: GG, Punk, Beaverman and people like Bugsy, Hamster, Yarco are you guys in?

I might be in. I have to help my sister move this weekend, so I'm not sure if I can do it yet or not.
It should be Euro one week, other people next week.
the more editing for Yoda the better!

So we're starting weekly from now on huh?
Yeah, I have the Fallujah and Witcher stories. The only Capcom one is the MvC2 announcement.

Given the utterly random prompting to go weekly, it seems as good as time as any.
It's a bit premature to declare one a Euro podcast given that we've only had 2 Europeans on the podcast to date. But with consistent participation from those thusfar, we do have enough for two independent podcasts. We do, however, have enough for a North American podcast.
For example,
1. darthhomer
2. Foolz
3. Iga
4. Bugs
vs
1. Dvader
2. Ravenprose
3. Steel
4. Yodariquo

It's suppossed to have pretty good features, 8 player online with WiiSpeak. I mean they get bonus points for being the only other game to actually use the frakking thing. But I think the game will come down to how much you appreciate (or dont) great IR controls on the system.
Firstly let me clarify, production value in scope etc, there is no way I'm frigging comparing Killzone 2 to the Conduit. Merely in terms of, tried and tested gameplay, no sort of unique hooks to get you interested. I suppose Killzone 2s hook was graphics, Conduits is graphics (for the system) and control, although Conduit has generic as hell art style. The actual design of Conduits gameplay? Bleh, doesn't excite in any way.
But because I like IR so much and that connection between your real aim and what is happening on screen. I derive enjoyment from that kind of fast paced gameplay. It feels more fluid and satisfying to me.
So yeah, I finally got around to listening to it (perhaps listening to it during a KZ2 match wasn't the best of ideas). I'm really impressed. Despite you guys claiming to have no 'plan', you did a pretty good job.
That discussion on forum pressure to play games was really quite cool. And I don't suffer from it. I mean, I beat MGS4 a month or two after I got the game. Why? Because I wanted to save the ending for after my exams. I could've beaten it before Vader, since I got it before him and all, but I didn't.
So when are we doing this thing? I'm good for 2-5pm Melbourne Time on Sunday, or later.

Okay sales talk, Killzone 2 is doing great for a PS3 exclusive. I know we sort of think that big games, big budget and hyper graphics should equate to massive Gears of War like sales.
It doesn't always happen.
Dvader, really interesting to gauge your feelings on Madworld. This is a really interesting topic. I will comment in the whore vs nerd thread.
