YAY!
I held the 3DS for the first time in my hands yesterday inside a GAME store and played a few rounds of Street Fighter. It's pretty sweet. I didn't have to try hard to see the depth of field nor hold it in any particular way. It was very apparent whichever way I looked at it.
Having said that, I wasn't moved that deeply to impulse buy it. 200 quid is too much for an impulse buy. I think I can hold out for the time being.

I added everyone. Picked up Mario Kart 7 and Zelda with Gamespot credit today. I knew I would feel guilty about picking up MK7 at full price, but luckily, I got $85 for selling an old iPod. 
I don't even know my Friend code anymore, rarely played Wii online and it mostly sucked when I did, I hope Wii U online is better.

1. GG you need to throw down your friend code. Am I missing it or are you just trying to keep me from being your friend.
2. And for those of you who don't have Swap notes yet, GET IT!!! It's dumb as hell, but the stuff that Leo and Vader have sent me over the past day or so has made me laugh extremely hard. It's free and it's fun.
I have it but I think it's called something else on the European service. Letterbox or something.
Also my friend keeps sending me photos which have the face of one person pasted on the head of another ... I think it's something done using the dual front-and-back cameras of the 3DS. Hilarious stuff but also a bit scary

I was excited to learn I had to rescue Luigi, THEN I find out there are Special Worlds, THEN find out there is a new power up, THEN discover Dark Mario has returned, THEN discover I can play as Luigi very early into the Special World!! I forgot to mention that there are as many special levels as regular ones so double the game.
This game has officially shit all over NSMB and is the new portable platformer king. It shits all over Sunshine as well and reaches Mario64 heights at times. Do not dismiss this as lesser than it's console brethren.
