That wasn't what I was saying...I was just saying they should copy the idea of HD like Editions for the N64 games they release on their platforms. Sony should do the same with PS1 games. Spice them up a bit.

Nintendo would do a 3ds versions and charge full price.

Star Fox has, and Smash. Aren't they saving Majora for 3ds remakes?

Outside of DK64 I cant see anything else Nintendo has the right to publish on VC, from the full list of n64:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nintendo_64_game

that console was a Nintendo/Rare machine and Rare retained ownership of their own IP.

Nintendo doesn't even bother to pubilsh their own IP on the VC. Seriously. Why do they have so much contempt for their back catalog and enthusiasts? I notch it up to cluelessness rather than maliciousness.

I think they eventually released most of the N64 games they owned full rights to on the Wii Virtual Console ... with the possible exception of Donkey Kong 64, Pilot Wings 64 (this one I don't understand) and the Mario Party games (or did they even release some of those).

They released Smash, both Zeldas, 1080, Wave Race, F-Zero, Starfox, Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Mario Tennis, Yoshi's Story, Pokemon Snap (I think) and even games which were previously Japan only releases like Sin & Punishment.

Don't know which of those they've released yet again on the U Virtual Console as I haven't been following that nearly as closely

They didn't put N64 titles on the Wii U virtual console yet.

Just bought Rayman Origins for WiiU.  I didn't enjoy Legends all that much, but the game's are unique enough to warrant a purchase at bargain bin prices.  That and I felt a bit down.  Some people eat choclate, I buy cheap games.

I remember reading somewhere that everybody likes the new Rayman games well enough, but nobody wants to pay full price for them.  Couldn't agree more.

I paid $25 for my copy of Rayman Origins last November/December. It's worth that price. Ubisoft charging full price for it on release was a joke.

Legends is much better than Origins. The origins levels have no pacing or excitement.

I bought Borderlands 2 on the xbox marketplace.  While I hate not having box/disc versions of full games like this, I thought 7 pounds was too cheap a price to pass.

Very good game, but be sure to have someone to play it with.  The game isn't half as fun when playing alone.

I'm not going to pay for Xbox live as I hardly ever play online ... so it will most probably have to be a solo run.

Unless it has split screen ... but I'd probably hate that

I'm about 2 years late in playing this, but Kid Icarus: Uprising has arrived today.

Origins is not a bad game at all. I do think Legends is the better game as it's really more focused on straight platforming, but Origins does a good job with the exploration angle if you are trying to look for everything in each level.

I find the Origins levels boring.

They are longer, slower paced, and going from Legends levels to Origins levels is very jarring for that reason. They just don't mesh well, but on their own they're still quite good. If you play them on their own it makes for a better experience.

I'm sorry bruv, I did forget (as you forgot mine which is one day before)... I assure you it was not from too much sailing.  In fact I doubt I will ever go sailing again.  My skipper friend had a double hip replacement which didn't go all too well and has had to give up sailing completely.

How does sailing work when you have a small boat and want to visit different countries in Europe for instance? Do you have to dock and present papers or anything?

I can't answer that very well.  It is easier nowadays I imagine because of relatively free movement within the EU.  Your boat is registered in a certain country.  And I guess it happens automatically when you moor in a marina in a foreign country.  If you are going to do something like sail across the atlantic ... I guess there will be enough publicity so they will be expecting you.

Personally I only sailed along the south coast of the UK, from Exmouth westwards towards land's end (and then back).  I did that two summers running.  Wonderful experience.  I wouldn't mind doing more of it if the opportunity presented itself but obviously I could never afford my own boat.
