I signed into Xbox Live to use the vouchers that came in Farcry Collection to download Farcry and Blood Dragon, and it came to my attention that this was going for 2 pounds. Thought I had to buy it as I never played it before. Hope it still holds up well.
Also ... a game I bought but thought I'd lost forever (before even getting my hands on it) is finally in my collection so it feels like I just bought it:

The N64 game?

That is the N64 game on XBLA.
I just picked up Super Mario World as a reward from Club Nintendo. As many times as I've already bought the game, I will never stop getting it. Hands down my favorite Mario game of all time.
I also have Etrian Oddessy: The Millenium Girl coming to me via Gamefly. I'm very curious to see if I can get interested in this series.

WTF I paid $7 for that shit and have yet to even play it on Wii U. Damn it.
At this point, I doubt I'll buy a 1st party Nintendo game on the VC (except for maybe the GBA ones). Just buy other games, register them for Club Nintendo points, and if you're patient eventually they'll be given away as rewards.
I bought The Wolf Among Us on Steam last night. Should be interesting.

Excellent version...the new controls and HD visuals really improve an already badass game. Same for Banjo & Kazooie.
If Nintendo was smart they'd be doing the same thing with N64 games on the Wii U. But they'd rather just copy/paste GBA games.

Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie are two of the live arcade games I want but I hope to get them discounted £12 each is a little bit expensive (for games I owned boxed versions of and had them stolen from me)

They released Mario and Zelda and Starfox and Fzero 64 right? The Rare stuff is off limits, they own Banjo, Perfect Dark, JFGemini etc?
Third party games are third parties responsibility I doubt Nintendo can just release them without any work or negotiations going on. I imagine N64 versions require significantly more work then just SNES emulators.

The Xbox games aren't just straight ports like Mario and Zelda. They are more like HD Editions with better graphics, sound, controls, online stuff, etc.
I finally got around to downloading F-Zero that I got from Club Nintendo in January.

Yes but the point is they cant release Rares stuff and they cant release 3rd party stuff without their involvement, which leaves them with what N64 games to publish on the VC?
Majora's Mask, Smash Bros. . Has Star Fox 64 been released on the VC.

Star Fox has, and Smash. Aren't they saving Majora for 3ds remakes?

That wasn't what I was saying...I was just saying they should copy the idea of HD like Editions for the N64 games they release on their platforms. Sony should do the same with PS1 games. Spice them up a bit.
I picked up Lego Marvel Super Heroes for the Xbox One today.
