Very good congrats.
Other than a loud fan, and not keeping up with late gen games liek Last if Us, my original fatboy is still doing okay. I have it stacked onf SNES carts to give it more ventilation space for the under vents.
How much you pay and where did you get it?

I got it on ebay for $150.
The seller fixes them up and does whatever needs to be done to them. He had sold like 15 of them from what I saw when I was checking his feedback. All 100% positive with happy customers. It has the original box and everything.

BTW...I used to do this with the original XBOX 360 model. Haha...I used to stack empty DVD cases under it to hold it up and let it breath more. Obviously it didn't help though, as I went through 4 of the fucking things.

Rubber feet work well too, such as from a guitar amplifier.

Especially your asshole.
Coming back from a wonderful holiday and starting back at work under the worst possible conditions (weather, terms of employment etc etc etc) brings out the worst in me as it makes me go online for serious shopping therapy. And what do I mostly buy? Vinyl records and videogames of course. Since I don't think many of you here are interested in the latest additions to my collection of deep house grooves, here's the videogame related stuff I ordered (and pre-ordered) over the last few days.
- New Nintendo 3DS [white]. The small version. I was tempted to get the XL for the bigger screens since it was only marginally more expensive but I like a white handheld console, I love the SNES homage colour scheme for the buttons. The interchangeable face plates seem like a great idea (I'm looking at those new Animal Crossing HHD ones which are a thing of beauty). Most importantly, I have a 3DS XL and I hardly ever play it, I always go for my regular. It's too big, too heavy and too cumbersome for my hands. So no point in getting another XL much as I like the idea of the bigger screens.
- Nintendo Wii U Classic Controller Pro [black]. I wanted the white one (to match my U) but couldn't find it to order. This is basically for Mario Kart 8. I don't mind my original classic controller but it feels a little light and I don't like having the wiimote hanging. I also have friends who are becoming increasingly interested in playing MK8 with me whenever they come over so not having to hold the UPad but having two normal controllers will be nice.
- Pokemon Omega Ruby (3DS). I like me some Pokemon every few years. This is a remake of the GBA generation from what I understand, which is one of the few I happened to have played during its time (not that it makes much difference I suppose as they are all fairly similar.
- Puzzle & Dragons Z + Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Edition (3DS). I didn't go crazy over the demo, but Leo knows what I like. So I will like this. A lot.
- Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (3DS). Last chance for me to get into this after failing with MHTri and MH3U. The odds are stacked against me but stranger things have happened, so who knows?
- Chibi - Robo! Zip Lash [Special edition incl. amiibo]. I love Chibi-Robo. Don't ask me why. I loved the gamecube original and even loved the DS Chibi-Robo with the gardening. This will be good. Believe!
- Kirby Triple Deluxe (3DS). I seem to have a love/hate relationship with Kirby. Somehow I have a good feeling about this one.
- The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes. This could potentially be shit but I love Zelda games so much that I'm willing to give this the benefit of the doubt even if it turns out to be Zelda in name only.
- Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash (WiiU). Mario Tennis was one of my top gamecube games and some of the greatest fun I had in multiplayer playing with three other friends. Subsequent entries have failed to live up to that but I live in hope. Who knows, this may prove to be a peak for the franchise in a similar vein to Mario Kart 8.
- Starfox Zero (WiiU). I miss a nice 3D space shooter. Hope this will live up to its pedigree.
- Mighty No.9 (WiiU) [boxed edition]. Leo made me order this.
- Shovel Knight (WiiU) [boxed edition]. I very nearly downloaded this on a number of occasions. So many of you guys here played it and loved it that I'm convinced it's a great game. I've waited this long, I may as well wait a while longer for the boxed edition.

I just purchased Super Mario Maker
I'm getting the 20th Anniversary PS4 controller tomorrow! Oooooh!

Oh yeah that came out this week didn't it? I may have to give that a spin this weekend.
travo said:I picked up Super Mario Maker right after work today.
Now get to work and make some levels for me to play.
I'm very happy to announce that I finally got myself another original fat PS3 that plays all PS1, PS2, & PS3 titles! Been wanting to get another one for a LONG time. Now I can retire the PS2 and use this one console for everything. Gonna swap out the 60gig drive and throw my PS4's original 500gig drive inside it too, which for the PS3 is all the space you'll ever need.
On top of that, I just like the look and build of this system so much more than the newer models. Minus the dumb SPIDERMAN lettering, of course. I still kick myself in the ass for selling my original console. Stupid, dumb move.
