And GG grow some balls for god's sake and finish the game without using super guide.

I never even used the super guide in NSMB, but if DKC Returns has sucky SNES style bad design and teeth gnashing I will gladly turn it on when the game is being cheap.

It's absolutely amazing! Could give Mario and RDR a run for their money for GOTY! Controls very smoothly, even better than the SNES versions, with incredible new gameplay enhancements. I've had a blast climbing walls, pounding the ground with motion controls and rolling over enemies. It also has gorgeous, lush visuals. I mean it's incredibly vibrant and alive, to the point where I had to put the controller down to just soak everything in.

The music will bring a smile to your face if you were a fan of the original games. There are cleverly hidden secret areas, with some hidden areas within hidden areas. It's near perfect as a platformer.

The difficulty is a challenge, even in the first world, but not cheap difficult, where you slam(bite) your controller. It's not the fault of the level design, which is near flawless. It has a nice blend of 3D and 2D graphics. Very impressive game and Retro does it again!

It  took two hours, but my nephew fiinally got tired of playing. The difficulty was pretty taxing to him, which is what I expected from a six year old. I cracked up watching him play some of the barrel areas and try to blast from one to another. He kept getting the timing wrong and falling back to the first barrel. I think he tried about thirty times before he called on me to help. razz.gif Pretty hilarious.

Can you imagine if Rare was in cahoots with Nintendo today and had the chance to develop this? Can you see it being as fun?  Me neither.

DON'T READ THIS IGA!

...

...

I love, love, LOVE the scene where the Tiki tries to hypnotize Donkey Kong! The look on his face is absolutely PRICELESS! THAT'S a classic Nintendo moment right there, folks! I actually laughed out loud at that for some reason! I also love the fact that you beat the ever-living-CRAP out of the Tikis after you finish a World, too!

...

...

END SPOILERVIC!

The Wii remote's speaker works great too.  Not a single crackle or hiss.

Wow, devs are still making use of that speaker? GASP I disabled mine a few days after I got my Wii, and never turned it back on. LOL

Are you talking about the one you buy the key for from Cranky?

Is that the Sunset one?

Yeah, it is.  This pretty much comes close to rivaling Limbo's art style.....close.

Unless I missed it somehow, I can't WAIT to see the level where you see the original Donkey Kong model on top of that temple, raising a Wii-mote in his hands instead of a barrel!

(It's pictured in my "Donkey Kong is Here!" Post.)

Heh! Donkey Kong blows!

I KNEW there was some way to use that propeller thingee in the cave below his treehouse!

...It came down to Kirby versus DK for Nintendo Game of the Season this year.

One Sucks. One Blows.

The one that blows will ALWAYS get my vote!

Take THAT Dandelions!

No. I can't imagine Rare working on this game and making it this good. I think Rare lost a lot once they left Nintendo.
