After reading the interview with the lead developer of the game, absolutely not. I put the interview in the Goldeneye thread.
I will get it eventually, just not at launch.
Yup, at some point, if it's as good as it seems to be. The more levels they show the cooler it looks.

It depends on reviews, of course, the length of the game, and how the online is. I never really tried online with the Wii but I wouldn't mind giving it my first run if I did get the game.
I'm also going to skip the golden controller. I don't want to spend $70 for this especially when I already have a black classic controller, one from Monster Hunter Tri.
Anyway, what about you guys? Are you guys planning to get this? If so, are you planning to have a VG Press online match-up or something? I'm thinking about getting it, but I still haven't decided.
You should be using the Wii-remote and IR to play this game. How did you find the aiming in Prime 3? Because it's been bettered by subsequent FPS since then.
I'm getting it, it looks good and Eurocom have put a lot of effort into it.

I'm kind of surprised at the replies. I thought most of us here would be interested in this game. I guess maybe it's because we don't really trust Eurocom yet, which I can understand. That's why I'm going to see what reviews and other impressions say about the game.
It looks promising

I have the Prime Trilogy and the controls were tough to get used to. But Retro did it really well and it became second nature later on.
As for Goldeneye, if I do pick it up I'll probably try both control schemes. My experience with shooters on the 360 migh benefit me with the classic controller, but playing with the Wii-mote might be the way to go since Goldeneye is exclusive to the Wii.

You thought wrong. But hey, at least we're being honest. Lol.
I was never a huge fan of GoldenEye back in the day. Back then I was playing Quake and PC FPS's which were better than GoldenEye. So I don't have any nostalgia driving interest in this game, nor do I really care about FPS's these days.

Hmm, I played a ton of Quake and other PC FPS back then, and I still loved Goldeneye.
Goldeneye's single player was great and unique regardless of platform with the various objectives and stealth possibilities (without going to the realism side like something like Rainbow Six, which came later as well). Multiplayer was great also being local. And it certainly didn't look bad compared to the likes of Quake. N64 was at least neck and neck with PCs for quite a while. Although PC games did - as they still do - offer better controls.

Well then I feel sorry for you.
Actually my experience with Quake was a little different than most. I only played it on a LAN with a group of other people so I was used to playing again human opponents which never failed to be fun. I guess as I think back on it, I did enjoy GE against other people, but it just never seemed fun playing through the missions. Smack talking computer controlled characters just doesn't work.
i really not a big fps fan most of them feel all the same in the whole history of fps games i have played since the first doom and castle wolfenstine there has only been 5 i liked, i am debating if i want golden eye or black ops, i like how black ops has computer ai bots for offline multi-player i hate playing games with other humans, but i want to give golden eye a chance for the sake of it i guess i am undecided
So what's the latest on Free Radical -- the guys that broke awya from Rare and did the TimeSplitters, Second Sight and Haze?
Did Haze kill them off forever, or do they have a new project. Off the top of my head, of the 40+ games I've beaten this year, I think Haze is probably going to get my Worst Game I Beat This Year Award. I don't know what went wrong, the Time Splitter games, particularly the last one EA published, was quite good. Have not played Second Sight yet.

I've been cold on the COD series since MW1, but I'm actually going to get Black Ops this year. One, to spite the old Infinity Ward guys (and as we know spite is the best way to make game purchase decisions), but also just because I've liked what I've seen about it in the press.
