The conference ended but like reggie said stuff is still going on NOW at this link. Iwata and Miya are talking about 3DS.
Doh!

Nintendo.com >>>> G4
Well that was a pretty good conference, though I didn't find it as good as Microsoft's. Zelda looked great but wow that onstage demonstration was awkward.
I really liked what I saw on Metroid Other M, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Kid Icarus, and the 3DS. I'd really like to know what it's price will be though.

So 3DS doesn't have some other gimmick to it. So Sony could easily include a 3D PSP2 Screen and then all 3rd party games would be cross platform.Knowing Sony they will easily jump frog Nintendo on other media functions too. Maybe Nintendo should have kept 3D-S secret till today.
Nintendo tried. It got leaked and they just went with it since the information was already out there.
I'm sure PSP will piggyback some of this, but it won't matter. With the 3rd party support that's already onboard, Nintendo's 1st party games, the DS' current brand value, and a 6 month to a year headstart I'm sure Nintendo will squash Sony in the handheld market once again.
The camera bothered me in Zelda. It's the same. They need to update it into standard modern action game camera controls... Just behind Link, and you control where to look as in an FPS with your cursor. When you wanna fight that doesn't matter since you lock on and sword fight instead of look around with the remote movement. They should look at what Red Steel 2 did...
And they showed too little so we don't know shit about the world/dungeon design and how/if they're changingi it up. I hope they are.
As for multiplatform with PSP2, well, it still has two screens and touch screen, which PSP doesn't have (can a screen be both 3D and touch screen yet?), so I don't see it changing with how it was between the DS and PSP. Some games will be multiplatform like chinatown wars, others won't be. And it has all the motion controls on top, acceleration, tilt, and gyration, right? But I guess such things are likely to be added on PSP2 as well.
Agnates said:So, the graphics of Kid Icarus looked good. Not to Wii level, but close enough. Though that game looked like it did a lot of cheap faking to achieve this, so it's probably something between the PSP and Wii in capability.
Looked PSP level to me, but I haven't had much, if any PSP experience.
Also, they should have put a 2nd analog thing under the buttons... for Monster Hunter

You are judging a hand held game blown up to full screen. I say Wii level, but lower resolution.
