No. If a film is based on a book, I almost always read the book first. I'll watch the films afterwards.

Well that was a boring chapter. I had forgotten almost everything about Dorne, had to check some summaries to remember. At least it seems like war is coming.

Oh damn the cover, thats the horn that brings down the wall isnt it?

There is a horn that controls dragons?

EDIT: Just looked it up, its what Greyjoy's have. I really need to read the last two books again before the next one. This can only mean one thing, horn fight!

Doesn't Euron Greyjoy have it? Isn't that why he's looking for Daenerys?

Its so good. Obviously not as good as the books but about as well done as you could hope. Dany just took down Astapor and got the Unsullied. Everyone that didnt read the books went nuts, its most peoples favorite moment of the show. Sadly they think she is taking the army to westeros, oh if they only knew...

So far, the films are quite good, but the books are better. Imagination > CG.

I like the early ones the most, but i know everyone jizzes over the new ones. The thing is, Radcliffe and co. (but especially Radcliffe) can get away with non-existant acting ability as a child because d'aww. Doesn't work so well when they're teenagers.

I've been reading The Hobbit. I actually started reading it back in January, but the book was so boring that I stopped halfway through. Well, I started it again last night, and, yeah, it's still very boring. The problem I'm having with the book is its prose, which is incredibly bland. I keep skipping entire paragraphs of bland nonsense in an attempt to keep myself from falling asleep. I rarely say this, but the film is far better than the book. Sad

I read the Hobbit years ago, and I remember being bored to tears by it. I think it finally got decent towards the very end. I also never even made it through the first book of Lord of the Rings.
