Was it sucked into whatever alternate reality that my socks keep disappearing? It starts out with a warning that Ozzy's memory of events in his life may be different than other people's recollection. That's because he's done every drug under the sun, and this book is how he fucking remembers it.
My most recent read was Seven Devils, a classical sort of sci-fi space epic, and I wrote up a review for it today

I'm still figuring out my tastes. I think for fiction I'm drawn to character development and interpersonal dynamics.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileIt really comes together. They both pretty much make up a single novel rather than an original and sequel. I think it's a starting point for narrowing down taste, but I'll have to try more and see how they compare.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileSince Elly it's hard at work giving us book reviews, I would also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that Dungeon Crawler Carl is an utterly delightful series, and the audiobook is in fact better than the books.
It's also on the verge of becoming a major IP. Over the past few months they've announced graphic novel spin-offs, tabletop RPGs, and a card game for it. And Seth MacFarlane recently licensed it to turn it into a television show. So I think he's going to try and do something with it like he did with the Orville. So, get yourself an audible account and start listening.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileI'm taking advantage of spotify's audiobook library, and have been going through a few selections there, as opposed to going through my Dungeon crawler Carl collection for the fifth time.
I just wrapped up Who Censored Roger Rabbit, the book that was the basis for Who Framed Roger Rabbit. I liked it quite a bit. It's very different from the movie, and comic strip characters aside, it's actually a very traditional pulp noir novel.
And I also listened to a terrible biography about the kids in the hall. Had the book not come out about 7 years ago, I would have sworn this was just some piece of crap written by chat gpt. Aside from a few Revelations during the time it aired on CBS, it felt like it was a really long fan page on geocities.
