Elle, you have my admiration, none of this can be easy and I hope you have the support of your family and partner. You have mine, but that's a small token, not what you need everyday all day irl.
Yes, congrats to you for taking this step, one many will never be able to take. I'm hopeful that you have the support that you need and know that on this site, we will support you 100%.

And now for my half joking piece of advice, learn to do your makeup. Start spending time learning about your skin tone, and what season you are and all the stuff that falls into that category. I have a family member who transitioned about a year ago, and understandably she has the makeup skills of a young teenage girl. Unfortunately between being new to makeup and being born kind of "country", she ends up looking like a rodeo clown that doesn't understand what lipstick flatters her and that blush should be used sparingly.
Anyway, if you need any makeup gurus, let me know, cuz I can hook you up.
I've had a lot going on 2021. I had to apply to remove the conditions on my permanent residency, as the conditional two years were coming up. I got fully vaccinated, which is great because living is a nice perk, and I recently got the largest raise of my life.
But none of those is the biggest story. Through COVID quarantined heavily, working from home, having groceries delivered, and otherwise avoiding human contact. This creates a unique circumstance to pursue something I never thought I'd have the confidence to.
I've been in therapy since last year trying to figure myself out. I've long felt socially displaced and not knowing how to present myself. Which makes sense because those are pretty normal effects of gender dysphoria.
I started on feminizing hormones in February and am now
letting people know this is going on, as well as my name change to Elle. For now others can consider me non-binary. I don't know exactly where I'll end up, but I'm no longer letting anxiety and uncertainty lead me to complacency. After all, I've gotta do my part to make sure this place isn't a complete sausage fest.
So ridiculously happy for you and proud of you! ❤️
