Well, my new doctor, a nice vietnamese man, prescribed me two months worth of an epilepsy drug that the pharmacist put me thorugh 20 questions and lots of side eye before he gave it to me.
It's a drug they give people with epilepsy to stop convulsions with high pshychological and physical addiction risk. It's explicitly not reccomened for my condition in two research papers I've read and Pfizer was sued for hundreds of millions of dollars for illegally marketing it!.
What could possibly go wrong? :
Pretty sure half a bottle of tequila would have been a better sleep aid.
Paper 1:
"There is moderate- to high-quality evidence that anticonvulsants are ineffective for treatment of low back pain or lumbar radicular pain. There is high-quality evidence that gabapentinoids have a higher risk for adverse events."
Paper 2: (CLBP = Chronic lower back pain)
"Existing evidence on the use of gabapentinoids in CLBP is limited and demonstrates significant risk of adverse effects without any demonstrated benefit. Given the lack of efficacy, risks, and costs associated, the use of gabapentinoids for CLBP merits caution. "

I applied for one in Amsterdam on Friday afternoon, but no luck here.
It says there are classic Doom maps to get from the classic maps menu. I see no option.
I wouldn't be bothered going unless it was a 30 min drive away or less.
I have actually put off buying a few games including Doom and Witcher 3, partly because of DF analysis.
So I was quite shocked when I re-watched the Doom Switch DF video.
I thought their footage would be the best quality availible and representative of the actual game. But having played the same areas direct in person, I realised that their footage is nowhere near the actual image quality of the game when docked.
I'm mildy perturbed at having avoided these "blurry" games for so long because of videos like these. I'm not even using Mclassic most of the time, I only really use it when a games resolution is particularly bad.
I can't quite imagine playing that on Switch 2 at 1080p in handheld mode. If it runs on XB1 it should look similar.
Although the one X was probably running it at better settings or something.
I also had a weird dream last night where me and Dvader were invited to a Nintendo showcase. Some weird hobo presenter came out, pulled used DVDS off the shelving and handed them out as gifts. But left all the saucy DVDS on the shelves.
Youtube's compression sucks. DF has uncompressed versions of their videos on their site that look much, much better, but you have to support their Patreon to download them.
Never!
I also realised that they often zoom in, but not to a massive degree. They do it subtly enough that you don't even realise you're looking at a cropped, zoomed image.
They do it without pointing it out, most of the time. Rather than just having full screen vs full screen they will have a zoomed in image, in general which perpetuates and exagerates these "flaws".
Giving you a much worse impression of how a game actually looks.
That's pretty frightening. I've had doctors that I've thought were incompetent before, but that was usually limited to running an office that had an inability to doing paperwork and couldn't work with my insurance correctly. I don't think I've ever killed me though.
The new Roadcraft trailer looks epic but somewhat intimidating.
Once you beat the main game in Snowrunner there's some really tough DLC, which tests your limits. Roadcraft seems to be adding an extra layer on top, having to actually build things too.
What movies did the hobo give you, GG? I wonder if he symbolizes someone else on this site?

How would you feel if Trump tariffs made games consoles unaffordable?
2. Nintendo should have had this on the radar. Even if you didn't think he was going to win, as of November 7th, this had to have been taken into consideration. As long as this thing has been in production, I can't believe they couldn't have pushed things up a couple months.
Anyway, I'm very unlikely to be getting one, so it's not really going to affect me one way or the other. But I will be frustrated if the PS5 also goes up in price.
And part of the move to Samsung parts, screen and Foundry are because Korea is unlikely to be affected. But I hear that Trump wants to tarrif products (assembled) in China too.
