I'm curious to see what games will support RT on Switch2. Cyberpunk doesn't include it, but that's hardly a surprise. Will it be relegated to fairly simple games, or will Nintendo's main Mario title feature it?
My money is on Nintendo utilizing it for their new Mario platformer. They managed to include rim lighting in Galaxy, something that shouldn't have been possible on the hardware but played a big part in the visual makeup of that game. Would be disappointing to see them dial down their ambition.

Well, no game uses Raytracing so far according to DF.
But I think Prime 4 is likely, the reflections were crazy good in the treehouse.
The rumors have said Switch may do ray reconstruction too. I think Cyberpunk is a candidate to use it. Whenever Nvidia show off DLSS and raytracing they usually use Cyberpunk footage.
Amazon rejected my invitation to pre-order Switch 2.
Think it was done in conjunction with the MyNintendostore which had these ridiculous requirements, you have to be a current Switch online member for the past two years. Among other bullshit.
Retail is dying here too so i don't have accounts with other stores and there are literally no other stores within an acceptable range of me.
I'm guessing the my Nintendo store will send my rejection email soon.
On game pricing Nintendo apparently said, Mario Kart World at $80 is a variable price and doesn't set a precedent for the price of Switch 2 games.
Looks like average games will be $70 or lower. SF6 is $60, DK is $70.
It's a cinematic platformer spin off from Golf Club Nostalgia, which is a much better game.
This game has amazing art and atmosphere but has sluggish controls, trial and error gameplay and huge difficulty spikes. Its still worth playing but only if you enjoy the world Golf Club Nostalgia created.
Otherwise it's a pain in the f×××ing ass and I never want to play that again.
Hmm. I wonder how my application for a Switch 2 pre-order from My Nintendo will fare. I’ve been subscribed to NSO for a little over six years total but didn’t renew it at the end of last year. Recently subscribed again though like a few weeks ago.
Enjoy your preorders, we live in the land of insanity so no preorders for us. I'm ready for Nintendo to rise the price on everything even more. Never seen anything like this.

I was at a horror convention in Tampa for a good chunk of the weekend, so I didn't play too much of anything. I squeezed in a few minutes of de Blob, but that was about it.
But since I'm maxed out on paid time off, I've taken today and tomorrow off, and plan to get a little more gaming in.
Damn I didn't know about this. Let me know of cool nerd stuff around our area.
Let's see what I did this weekend, I bought a new car. It's just a Camry, nothing special but the best in its class. Right in before tariffs.
I finished Death Stranding DC, had to refresh for part 2. I am now ready for some wild story moments, watching the trailers again I have a feeling I know some of the twists.

I'm not really dialed into Tampa's convention scene real well, but the biggest show is Tampa Bay Comic-Con that's held on the first weekend of August. They've got a pretty good guest list this year, and Keith David is going to be there so I think we might make the trek out to see him. Between Gargoyles and the Thing he's kind of geek royalty in my world.
And then in October the horror convention I went to this weekend, Spookala, will be doing their fall show. The cast of Daredevil is going to be the big headliner for that show I believe.

Hall Effect Sticks. I saw a thousand articles on it just now like I should know what they are then read this article and want to know why you would not use anything else!

Truly a shitshow.
ESA is saying its only the beginning and that this will hit the whole industry.

Nintendo switch 2 edition physical games are now complicated.
They might just be red coloured Switch 1 carts with a download code for the upgrade. At least that's what a customer service agent at Nintendo UK said.
So if you resold the game, could the new owner use the upgrade code? Or is the upgrade code embedded on the game carts?
And what happens 20 years from now if the servers are down and you want to redownload the upgrade?
Quoting myself, basically this story was a hoax.
When a youtuber emailed Nintendo UK to clarify, they replied back, he showed the whole email.
The Switch 2 edition games have all the necessary data on the cart, they aren't just switch 1 carts.
Yes, even more so because the quality of the story is the main reason to play these games!
From what I played in the demo and from interviews the story is all done by the Zelda team and Koei Tecmo doing the game design. So it felt really authentic to BOTW.

A Control port would use it definitely.

Hmmm, really? Find me a preorder!

I really enjoyed Death Stranding but have no desire to play part 2.

I'll probably nab an 8bitdo one once they do a switch 2 version. Mostly because I want one where the d pad is located like the SNES.

I liked the demo but the choppy framerate always put me off.
I hope it gets better on switch 2.
It feels a bit annoying that the only way to get the full story of these Zelda games is to get a Hyrule Warriors game.
Yes, even more so because the quality of the story is the main reason to play these games!
I feel I need to play it at some point.
Just managed to pre-order switch 2 thanks to a Resetera thread.
I was worried that I'd have to wait weeks or months more after launch given demand.
Got the Mario kart bundle, saved £55 off the physical price. Fuck it.
