Let me know what you think about Cloud Punk. I've been looking at that game off and on for the last year or so. I feel like there's a good idea there, but I'm not sold on the execution.
Will do, I just tested it for framerate on switch 2 as on switch its dodgy.
I just finished watching DF Steam Machine video. It's about as powerful as a PS5, but in a much smaller case (6 inch cube). It's designed to be affordable, but no price has been announced.
DF also speculates it will be the beginning, and more powerful Steam Machines will likely come out later on from Valve and third parties. possiblely even allowing PC gamers to install the improved version of Steam OS onto their own PC rigs too.
Interesting stuff. I really want that new Steam controller.
This game.... I loved and was so extremely frustrated by it.
And if you think about it, it was really an odd game to have even been made. The Addams family movie was still a few years away from being made, so it was basically a video game based on a 1960s TV show that was pretty hard to even find in reruns by the late '80s. And then of all the characters, they made Uncle Fester the lead.
That Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined news was pretty cool. I don't think dq7 will quite get the ff7 treatment of a full-on reimagining, but this is definitely more than just a makeover with some quality of life improvements. They really are going to mess with the story now. So I think this might be on my radar again.
Do you remember when Phil Spencer put out some memo saying that "we lost" the most important generation?
That being the PS4 generation? I think he was saying it because that's when mass digital game ownership started. And now people feel entrenched with whatever collection they've built up over the years.
I didn't really feel it before, but now having bought so many Switch 1 games and being able to carry it across to the following platform.
Nope, haven't collected any games in years. I have two physical copy Switch games and the only reason I have those is because GameStop would not accept them.

You must have bought digital games?
Its the digital games for me. I rarely play physically games I've beaten on the past system. But being able to seamlessly transfer my huge digital collection across is something I don't want to lose access to.
I do. That was the main reason I went with a PS5 instead of a switch 2. I've made a pretty sizable investment in both digital and physical games for my PS4, and I would rather carry those forward than have them left on a shelf, only to be used when I hook up The PS4.
Plus, I actually do still play my older games. I'm glancing over my shoulder at my game shelf right now, I see three games I wouldn't mind playing right now. So it's just nice to have those ready to be played if the mood strikes.
Bought Yakuza Kiwami switch 2 as the GKC versions are mysteriously not availible here.
Hope I enjoy this. It does look like it has a fair amount of Shenmue like jank which could swing either way for me.
I think you'll enjoy it. The combat is better than Shenmue, and the story is pretty good too. The real draw of the game though, is the characters, who are generally very interesting and fleshed out, particularly in the Kiwami versions of the game.

A little bit disappointed in the amount of VRAM but if they price the Steam Machine right then I’ll definitely be interested in getting one.
Yeah, I see that. I like it.
As for the controller, I liked the look of the original better.
The VR goggles looked nice, although very similar to quest. I wonder how big of a difgerence the foveated rendering will make.
I disagree. I bet they're shooting for under $500. They didn't overprice the $400 Steam Deck.
Watching a Fester's Quest speenrun at 5:20am. Life is good.

Same here. I prefer digital which is interesting because a decade ago I would have hated this.
Off the top of my head we had Overcooked 2, Broken Sword the Sleeping Dragon and more.
Lollipop chainsaw is coming and Red Dead Redemption is a free upgrade.

So he's querying if the Steam machine has an audience outside of that.
