HDR needs high brightness to make the colors and darker details pop. My LG C2 OLED is around 800 nits, I believe. Lower cost TVs don't go that high, maybe 300-500. According to DF John, the Switch 2 LCD is around 400 nits and he couldn't notice HDR on it.
Be sure to disable any energy savings features on your TVs if you want max brightness. These are usually on by default and will significally reduce the overall brightness of your TV.
It's actually a higher brightness than the Switch OLED but the OLED has better contrast obviously with perfect blacks.
On the great OLED TV HDR is rather obvious when you calibrate the Switch 2 properly.
FANDARE Outdoor Sling Chest Bag... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08S3N5335?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It's really good. I've seen it on ebay USA too so it might be cheaper there.
The back is padded, the front is a hard shell. It has a combination lock built in. It's a sling bag so less cumbersome than a backpack and you can change the strap orientation to use as a one strap shoulder bag or chest bag.
Also has a hidden side pocket which fits a bottle or pair of joycons.
And it has a USB pass through port for rigging up your Powerbank and charging it while the battery stays in the bag.
I managed to fit a Switch 2 with joycons attached, the controller grip, a 24 card game case, 4 joycon straps, a charging grip for Switch 1 joycons, and headphones.
Also seen this carrying case specifically designed for portable consoles, steam deck, switch 2 etc though i would check the dimensions carefully first.
It looks more sleek and probably offers better protection than my one but is slimmer and seems to fit a lot less than my one.
Been 8 years since I played this, I'm hoping for a locked framerate.
Great news, although I only tested my Switch 1 games portable where they suffered from 720p resolution - almost ALL Switch 1 games, even unpatched runs better on Switch 2.
Games that were unstable but have a 30 fps cap are now locked 30.
Same for 60fps target games, they are now 60fps locked.
Games with an uncapped framerate now boost to a 60fps, never dipping in most cases.
Games are loading faster across the board, Animal Crossing loads 1 min slower on Switch 1.
Other games with dynamic resolution scaling hold a high resolution now with gamers saying they look sharper.
Of course they will still have low res textures and stuff.
I tried Arms with the patch, this was already really polished, now it's in 4k. You still have to use a grip or play in handheld for normal controls. Great game, still feels so fresh.
