Didn't play anything this weekend but am in the process of transferring the save data from my original Switch to my newer one. I'll give the kids that newer model and trade in the old one for Switch 2 credit.
Didn’t play much this weekend as it was all about WrestleMania. It was a good show overall. Not great but not bad either. Played a bit of Street Fighter 6 and Blue Prince.
Started playing Miles edgeworth investigations on switch.
It felt both ancient and an amazing remake at the same time. I literally remember this game as having gba level graphics. I played it so long ago it felt incredibly old.
But then it's almost amazing having a 2D game updated so spectacularly. A lot of fuss is made over 3D remakes of 3D games, but no appreciation for 2D remakes?
Seeing the little characters emote in that detail is sooo cool. The only improvement I want from future Capcom adventure games is voice acting. If they can do it in Ai The Somnium files then Capcom should be able to afford it.
Playing and enjoying The Case of the Golden Idol. It's a fun and enjoyable rip off of Obra Dinn. Empahsis on fun and enjoyable.
It will be interesting to go back and try Obra Dinn after this and see if it clicks for me better now than it has in the past.Emphasis Will certainly be picking up the recent sequel to it - Rise of the Golden Idol.
So the Pope died. I'd say may he rest in peace, but I assume that as Pope that's a perk that comes guaranteed with the job. I'm not religious by any means, but I do feel he was a pretty good Pope all things considered.

They dragged out his demise a long time. I was expecting his death about a month ago, the way it was being positioned in the press.

I was stuck in bed with a bad fever at the same time. Looks like God chose me this time. Better luck next time, Mr. Pope.
Sega has announced Yakuza 0 Director's Cut for the Nintendo Switch 2, slated to launch simultaneously with the console on June 5, 2025. In an interview with Famitsu, RGG Studio talked about what the new take on the beloved 2015 title will offer.
According to producer Makoto Suzuki, Yakuza 0 Director's Cut will include episodes that were cut from the original game, totaling around 26 minutes of extra cutscenes. These will feature interactions between Kiryu and Nishiki, Kiryu and Kuze, as well as Majima and "somebody." Suzuki suggests that these new scenes will delve deeper into things fans of the series are curious about, while not being too high context for first-time players.
Red Light Raid, the new online multiplayer mode that will feature in Yakuza 0 Director's Cut, was designed to make use of the Switch 2's new chat functions and C button. In this mode, you team up with friends to battle hordes of enemies. The game will boast an impressive 60 playable characters that players will unlock as they progress. According to Suzuki, the online mode will be playable solo too.
The producer also confirms that Yakuza 0 Director's Cut will support 4K in docked mode and run at 60fps.

I came here to post that. Lol
That Paul Rudd Switch 2 ad is a great callback to the SNES one.
It would have been a perfect callback if Nintendo had included modern sequels to most of the games in that SNES commercial.
That's great.
This weekend I played a lot of Pac-man Championship Edition 8-bit demake (Switch), I-Robot (Steam PC), and the original Pac-man (Arcade).

Found some really nice Cyberpunk Switch 2 video. Looks quite smooth to me.

Has there been any talk of bringing Red Dead Redemption to the Switch?
Do you mean the sequel? That was rumoured but hasn't shown up yet.
