Heh, I didn't notice that. My eyes were drawn...elsewhere, I suppose.
I’m not really into football. Did watch the overtime portion of the Super Bowl. Happy that the Chiefs won. Wouldn’t have wanted to see a disappointed Taylor Swift.
Yeah, that was a great ad.
Darn zombies!
E3 was always the biggest revenue/ traffic for IGN based on what they've said on various podcasts, so they need to keep building back teh "E3" hype. Maybe with their show, combined with the Keighly events they can get something going. It' ambitious on their part though.
Same here.
However, both looked like a sea of sharp pixels on my 4K TV. Bloodlines fared a bit better than IV but was still way too pixelated to be enjoyable, so I tried the scanlines/CRT filter options. M2 did this port and their emulation is excellent for the most part but I'm usually not a fan of CRT filters; most are too dark and/or too blurry.
The Castlevania and Contra collections are, thankfully, not like that. Both games look pretty good with the filter on once I got used to it. Both games look similar enough to how I remember playing them years ago. I wish these collections offered more options for customizing these filters, though.
Gamepass only on Xbox (and PC for the pedants).
Apocalypse averted! I don’t have to sell my XSX! Whew.
MS Business Update was as boring as I predicted.
I wonder what MS' exciting hardware news is? VR?
I doubt VR; MS hasn't shown any interest in it so far. I'm expecting either an Xbox portable or, more likely, a new Series console to match the rumored PS5 Pro. Or maybe an Xbox cloud streaming stick?
Oh, yeah. I forgot about their augmented reality tech. I haven't heard about it in a while.
Hololens is still kicking around. It's an enterprise tool MS is not pushing it for consumer market:
