Listening to EP 146 now.

Foolz: Gog has two different groups of links for downloading games off their website. The first one in blue includes Gog Galaxy launcher but further down the page has the "Download Offline Backup Game Installers" for non-Galaxy version. BG3 has a a lot of links for the backup, though, for every patch.

I've also enjoyed listening to this episode. It reminds me of a friend of mine who has a webcast where they talk about cars and beer. Once the beer conversation is over, and they get the cars. I'm pretty lost. But learning about the Australian insurance industry has been interesting too.

I'm right now. 👍

Edit: Seems I downloaded EP145 instead when I right-clicked EP146.

Oh thanks, that's my mistake. I'll fix it.

At the other job today (I work at two different sites), so no news updates from me folks.  Did not play any games this weekend, nothing but grinding farm work all weekend in 38-degree heat.

I forgot about that! I tried, and there were other issues doing it that way, so I gave up. Making the non-DRM download virtually unusable I'd also call a form of DRM. LOL

Man, my action game skills have really deteriorated over the years. I'm at first RE3 Remake boss battle, I've died so many times the game asked me if I wanted to put it on easy "assist" mode. LOL I declined. I got to get better at dodging Nemesis.

Geez! I must've been tired last night because that boss battle was actually super easy tonight. Beat him on my first try without taking any damage.

Thanks, it's been a while, so took a bit to get back in the saddle again.

My hair smelled like garlic for the better part of a year.  Those were the days.

[videogameschronicle.com]Game Dev CEO Says You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet “If 2023 was the year of layoffs, 2024 will be the year of closures,”

The article paints a very similar story to the construction business here.  Post pandemic everything boomed and now things are quickly slowing down again with rising cost of living and loaning, resulting in loss of jobs and closures.

Been playing Octopath Traveler 2.

It's as excellent as the first game. Lots of games now use this art style so it feels a little less special at times.

Still debating getting Triangle Strategy.

I started Octopath Traveller 2, and as much as I enjoyed it for a while, that art style really bothered me. I thought it was cool when I first saw it, but something about it in motion doesn't sit well with my eyes I think.

My sister texted me at 12:15AM this morning with several Star Wars dancing gifs informing me that after nearly 1.5 years, she's finally completed Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga on PS4 100%.

This is important for her because this is the first game she's tried to play that uses a standard, modern third person control scheme.

She's a casual gamer and when she first got it, she hated having to aim and shoot with the right stick; she thought it was impossible to play. "Why can't it play like all the previous Lego games!" I told her to keep trying and learning it would open her up to so many more games to play. Now she feels confident in starting Hogwarts Legacy.

Trying new things is fun, even if they are frustrating at first.

What do you get for the man who has everything?  How about a "multi-person, omni-directional, modular, expandable, treadmill floor."

I keep my phone on vibrate and never hear it when I'm asleep, so it doesn't bother me.
