Agreed, although the gibberish speech is getting on my nerves.
The gibberish speech was annoying. Thankfully, in the sound options, I selected "Short Speech" which reduces the amount of the gibberish speech that's spoken to a much more tolerable level.
Animal Crossing is completely different. It's actual speech, just very fast. Rareware N64 speak was one sound repeated and cut short every syllable. I personally still enjoy it.
Blech. We're going skiing next week, and there's next to no snow where we're headed. This is the first year we're going during the Christmas break and while it's just bad luck, I think we'll not try it again next year.
The Splatoon3 winter update hit a couple of weeks ago. There's a couple of new mode which are the same as those that were already on hand, just even more challenging for high-level players, as well as new gear and 2 new maps.
This is a way too slow refresh rate. Prior games seemed to get new maps on regular intervals, but 2 maps per 3 months isn't enough to keep interest in the game going. I'll end up casually dipping in and out whenever a new update lands, but I can't see me playing this as I did the first 2 games.
At least the maps are good. One is an old favorite of mine from the original game. Finally a map with some verticallity again. Most maps in the game feature a large open area in the center with some kind of walkway running over it and that's it. Here we get a central area that's multileveled with a lot of opportunity to climb up the walls and sneak up behind your foes. Wish there were more stages like this one.

I was never into soccer but I sure as hell knew who Pele was. Definitely remember seeing that soccer game for the Atari 2600. Not sure if I ever played it though.

Wait, what do you do when go somewhere for skiing and there's no snow? Does the resort charge you less?
Played a bit of it myself and yeah it is pretty charming and enjoyable.

I think Yooka Laylee is on the Game Pass. I should give it a try soon.
Yeah that was kind of annoying. I think the days of this kind of “speech” is behind us and rightfully so.
Ive been watching Golf story since it launched for a good sales price. But it's never been less than 55% off.
With Sports Story out, thought it was about time.
There's tons more stuff on sale now the New Year sale has started.
Also played Huntdown with my buddy. Hilarious when someone dies, you have to do a kind of CPR, within 20 seconds whilst being attacked.
Animal Crossing says, "Nah uh!"

So did this turn into a hiking trip now?
Whatever it is, we'll be doing it while wearing ski's. I've already rented them, and we're bloody well going to use them.
RIP Pele.
That was the only soccer game I ever bought and I still own it.
Oh man, RIP .
I had it too. I also had Mega Man Soccer. That was pretty bad though.
R.I.P. Pele.

The atmosphere is incredible. It makes a real connection with you the second you boot it up.
I was playing in handheld and my switch screen suddenly became a curved CRT with slight distortion.
It feels a bit like Tron, in the essence of there being a real world inside your computer you go into.
It seems to be trying to build its own lore and has Legends and religions and echoes of the past.
Honestly if feels like a living world that's so alien and immersive.
I feel like I'm going to get lost though. There's no map I hear and you go into and out of multiple doorways in the game.
You can tell this is going to be good. Already a few tasty lines and looks great too.
