Bayonetta 3 finally arrived, but before I could start I fell in Mario+Rabbids: Sparks of Hope.  Not sure I'm liking this as much as the original, but I've decided to play it through to the end before starting Bayonetta 3.

Something that also irks me in this sequel: the guns look like proper guns this time.  In the original M+R the guns were Samus Aran like things, where you could barely see the hands of the characters, let alone the grip and trigger.  Now they are very, very clearly guns.  For some reason that bothers me a lot.

I've also played some more No Man Sky co-op.  The co-op isn't really co-op as it is playing your own game next to your partner.  You'll occasionally bump into eachother, and the story is set on the same planets, but you're not really interacting, or even seeing eachother much.  We also don't play the game enough.  Every time we have to re-learn the whole user interface and how to construct whatever it was we needed.  But it's calm and enjoyable, ideal for what is in essence just an excuse to talk to eachother and chill for a couple of hours a week.

Finished Bayo 3 HOLY SHIT!!! I think this game is an action masterpiece. I love Bayo1, I understand those that think it’s still the best, but I think 3 takes the cake. The combat has so much going on, maybe too much but even with that I always felt I could pull off some amazing combos. The weapon variety is better than DMCV, I never thought that would happen with any game yet here we are.

I LOVED the batshit variety in this game. Bayo 1 did that as well but it was rough compared to this, here it’s all so much fun and wild. A non stop ride of crazy. This is one of the best action games ever made. I will take a break for God of War and sonic but I will come back as there is so much unlocked. There is so much to master. So I won't review this for a while but just know this is the best platinum game ever made.

Some more Mario Rabbids ranting...

They've taken out so many stuff.  In the original every character had a secondary weapon, be it a hammer, a duck shaped grenade or a small homing bomb on wheels.  Now those are gone and replaced by the titular sparks, who work as modifiers and passive effects.  Do more damage this turn, take less damage, add fire effect, ...  There are less tactical options because of this, less variety.  And there are no more battle rankings!  In the original I would replay battels if I ranked below A, now there's no incentive to even keep your characters alive.  Before every battle there's an option to fully heal your party in exchange for coins, even while playing the game on the hard setting.

Might be that the game's scope blows me away further on, but at the moment I'm finding it hard to recommend this game to anyone.

Disappointing. I just ordered the game for my son for Christmas.

I've been wanting to play Bayonetta 3, but actually playing Scorn. The latter is easier to play with a fever. Also, I have coronavirus again. LOL

It's not a bad game, it just baffles me how much was removed.  For reference, my son still loves it.

Hope you get well soon Foolz.  Would you rate this second infection higher or lower than your first contact?

Aww...  I was just going to post the EG Sonic review so I could use this delicious quote as subheader: "More than Dr. Eggman's nefarious schemes, 3D has been Sonic's long-running nemesis "

Thanks guys.

Other than the fever which pretty much knocked me out for half of the day after it prevented me from sleeping (I got some feverish writing done, at least), so far Covid 1.0 was worse; more painful and achy. But it's early days yet. Plenty of time for the sequel to surpass the original yet.

And now the news you've all been waiting for.

Yes, in Xenoblade 2: Torna the golden Country, they've upgraded Mythras boob size.

They're the same size as the distant mountains.

That sucks. I didn't know that could happen.
