This weekend I’ve mainly been playing Xenoblade Chronicles 3. 105 hours in now and I’m in the Prison dealing with lil miss Potty Mouth. LOL

Briefly tried some Persona 5 Royal on Xbox via Game Pass. Seems like it’ll be quite good.

I hate Ghondor. I assume her accent is faked too.

It's just too annoying.

I've been playing Splatoon3.  I started dabbling in ranked matches, mostly splatzones.  There's a mode now where you need to win 5 matches without losing 3.  It's a nice addition that raises the stakes.

Also been playing a bit more of the story mode.  Did a mission where you needed to use the splatana stamp.  It's a cool weapon, with some good ink coverage and range.  When I looked it up for turf wars, it had horrible sub and specials though.  Here's hoping for an alternative version to be released more down the road that'll be more to my liking.

Thank you. It looks like she is doing very well. Nurses say she is stable and in general good health, it's just really her state of mind and energy which is basically very low but at least she is eating and drinking again. It's more work now having to turn her everything few hours, constantly changing her diapers, treating her wounds, and all that but that's how it is now, as long as she isn't in pain.

That's great she's doing well, and even better she is in no pain.

Dad's back from his operation. Seems okay.

What a crappy day, waited around for hours from early morning till night.

The Fullmetal Alchemist trilogy of live action movies is on Netflix. Made it through 2 and now finishing the 3rd.

Its... bad. Yet somehow 1% awesome like a fan made YouTube movie or something.

The Asians as Europeans doesn't work and most action scenes fall flat. When they actually just do word for word the manga, in the quieter plot driven scenes it's decent. Ish

I was at a horror convention over the weekend, so didn't get a chance to play much. But in the moments we had a little down time I did play a little of Curse of the Moon 2. Can't say I enjoying it as much as the original, but it's still pretty good.

Oh, and on another note I hope everyone's family is doing well. Seems to be a lot of unfortunate things healthwise going around lately.

Damn you robio! Damn you and your Florida backwater mumbo jumbo. You jinxed me! I haven't been ill in years, but after reading your post I spent the remainder of the evening and night on the loo vomiting!

I want to go on record saying I really dislike the sandpaper-like texture of the Xbox SS controller, especially since I have a papercut on my hand where I grip the controller and it fucking hurts!  Great controller otherwise.

He had a polip removed. He accidentally peed a bit on the floor last night. There was blood in it.

He seems okay though, thanks guys. He's a bit weird when it comes to his health and doesn't want to tell us a lot of stuff.

So just a random thought on the Switch OLED

Randomly, recently I've caught the TV screen in the corner of my eye, while playing on the OLED screen.

When I've held it up to compare the image/screen quality to more expensive 4ktvs, the OLED always looks better in screen brightness and colours. Generally it looks vivid.

Now I finished Xenoblade 3, I didn't want to play Xenoblade 2 Torna on the OLED as the resolution is bad in X2 in general.

So needing a portable game to play I went back to the few unplayed hidden object games I have. The OLED makes them look really beautiful, the art and colours, as well as the bigger screen size.

It's going to presumably make all the 2D adventure games I play look great too.

I want the new Monkey Island nao.

So I downloaded the Xenoblade 2 expansion pass.

Which included the new story mode set in the past. I'd forgotten that there were also tons of new quests added to the regular game.

So I went back into the towns in the game to pick up the new quests and found nothing.

Apparently you have to dig into the in game menu to unlock everything. Could have done with a in game pop up window note on how to do all this.

You would think that when the game updated it would all be integrated.

Even when the DLC downloaded its presence on the main menu isn't exactly prominent. In fact when I went to check on the download to see if it had worked, its not listed under the software section of data management.

You would think a 13gb download would be easier to spot.

Oh I kind of get it now.

There all sorts of use one bonus items they can give you.

So for me who has completed most stuff I don't need them. But they would be useful on a New Game+ run.

I claimed the new quests but left the items for a replay.
