I've just managed to listen to the first 3.5 minutes of the penultimate GU podcast.  On the topic of fashion (or lack thereof) I think that it's a male thing to just always wear the same type of attire.

I've been wearing dark blue jeans all my life, and my clothing style hasn't really evolved much ever since I started working.  Back then I had to change, because I clearly couldn't be wearing hoodies in the office and my specific clothing style has kind of evolved into a brand.  For an entrepreneur that sells specific services to people I find this to be advantageous.  I started wearing trilby hats about 15 years ago, and people who I've only fleetingly met years ago will still remember me from my choice of clothing (and hat, obviously).

That Trilbies are your trademark doesn't surprise me in the least!

I could never pull off a trilby hat. I bought this hat a couple of years ago and it never suited me

I could not make such a hat work either.  I just need a hat that already looks cool, which I can then sneakily pop myself under.  It's not me pulling off a hat, it's the other way around.  Without it sounding dirty.

Its pretty good but kinda the opposite of what I enjoy the most in an adventure game.

I like cartoon 2d visuals and lots of humour.

Compared to those games which whack you in the face with personality, this comes across as somewhat sterile. But it's a personal prefence more than anything else.

The music is ambient, the environments are very white (snowy forest).

Theres no voice acting.

However the game is pretty good, 3d visuals, a persistent world. Some simplified item interactions, decent controls etc.

GG, do you have any interest in Chinatown Detective? The visuals look nice.

According to two rapid tests I have coronavirus. According to one of three rapid tests my sister also has coronavirus (she was sick first). So I'm not sure about the reliability of these rapid tests, but I'm going to take it as it's the last item on my coronavirus bingo card!

Another slow news week for gaming.  And in general, has the media backed way off Ukraine where you live? I follow Au and US news and it's all back to uaul political partisan garbage. Not that I care, now that baseball season has started.  So COVID and Ukraine don't matter any more... so back to climate change? Poor old war on terror doesn't even get a mention any more.  And when was the last mass shooting?

It's like the media lost their playlist after Will Smith.  I guess I'll give them a week to get back to the usual tropes.

Ukraine is still front and center in the news here.
Best gaming news of the week is that the chrono cross remaster runs poorer on PS5 than the original did on PS1.

S-E seemingly put noticably less effort into the remaster for Chrono Cross than it did for Legend of Mana or SaGa Frontier. Very strange since originally it was a much bigger seller than the other two.

Makes me wonder if they we're working off in complete code or if these PS1 remastered just haven't been selling as well as they had hoped and a budget got cut at some point.

Digital Foundry suspects that the game is actually based on an emulation, with the option of touched up assets.
