Almost completed the skill tree in Sundered and almost beat the final boss. The combat is so satisfying. There are endless horde areas where there are relentless enemies and you fight tooth and nail till you either die or escape. It's a good way to get in game currency too.
I've been browsing through my old Xbox friends list. Wow! What a blast from the past, Ragnar,edge,spazz, Hallenbeck, Dez, Lucas, so many gamespot friends.
Been playing this. Its an experience game, hyper stylised World War 2 experience. I usually hate black and white games but this can look stunning and its visually and in terms of how it sounds - beautiful. Patrick Stewart narrates it and the game itself works like a silent movie, characters talking in gobble speak with speech bubbles often only showing a single icon. Gameplay can be stiff and there are some one hit kill sections but you endlessly respawn. It's not hard but sometimes wants things to be done a very specific way. Also the actual game and how it apes the experience of the Nazis robots descending and occupying a city can be quite moving. I teared up when the "reds" were separated into train cars and were spattered with red and people started pointing fingers at them, laughing and refusing them entry into social places.
Have you guys digitised your old cd collection yet? I got a £20 external cd reader from amazon. One average micro sd can hold my whole collection, probably. Just started converting some across today. Some of the older, mid 90s cds are growing mould spots 😢
I've got maybe a dozen or two CDs laying around in various boxes in my house. Honestly, it's not even worth my time to convert them though. With spotify, I've got my library already digitized.
I was completely against it for so long, because at the end of the day I just prefer ownership. But after a few weeks of messing around with spotify, I don't think I could ever go back. Really, the only area I genuinely have a preference for physical media is books. Don't think I'll ever get on board with reading a book on a tablet or kindle.
I digitalized our CD collection a couple of years ago and stored them on our NAS. That way we can stream them wherever we are.
Spotify is easy, but I do prefer ownership and loathe paying for a sub.

So I set up my Series S yesterday which was as painful as I'd imagined it to be because Microsoft wouldn't accept my codes at first. Everything had to update, even the controller. I downloaded The Master Chief Collection, Gears 4 and a Plague's Tale. I knew that the limited space and the machine being digital only would end up being a hassle. Some of these games are really huge downloads so I think I'm lucky if I can get about 4 games on the machine at one time. I think after managing the console, I figured how to save some space to be able to download Sea of Thieves, Bug Fable, and even Minecraft for the kids.
My son and I started the OG Halo last night, his first time playing anything like it. Bungie did not make it easy to play co-op on the campaign. I mean it took about fifteen minutes and some Googling to figure out how. Once we figured that out, we had a ball. One thing that I remembered is that the play area is huge, easy to get lost in, and there's really not much to let you know where to go. We fumbled about with controls, finding our footing, and got lost more times than I cared to. Controls are outdated snd driving a warthog is never as fun as I feel it should be, but we certainly had fun. If anyone wants to co-op any game let me know. I still have castle crashes and apparently I downloaded Crysis years ago. I'm down for any game.
Congrats! Yeah The Master Chief Collection and Gears 4 are absolutely huge games. Same with Gears 5 and the Forza games. Managing space is definitely going to be a priority for those games. Game Pass will certainly keep you busy.

I don't want an Internet streaming service as with both WiFi and Bluetooth on it drains my phone battery. While Bluetooth can go for hours and hours barely draining a thing.

Wait, digital only? There's a disc drive right? Or did you buy the hobo model?
I bought the hobo model. I'm definitely not going to go the cheap route with the PS5 so I figured digital plus the game pass will do just fine. It will be good enough for me even with the inevitable storage headaches. Funny, after scoffing at Microsoft back when they tried the DRM nonsense years ago, and attempting to limit discs to one console...well, here I am. The only major downside is that digital games don't go on sale like discs.

No because I still purchase CDs because I prefer physical media.
Though I used to put it digitally. But my iPod stopped working unexpectedly years ago so I quit focusing on digitizing my music collection. I still use CDs and CD players.
Also buying cds, vinyl and merch helps out the bands so they can stay around.

you know you can buy Bluetooth cd players with built in rechargeable batteries lasting from 10 to 18hrs. I was considering buying one on amazon. The Oakcastle cd100 I think. So you can use it with a Bluetooth speaker or your car if it lacks a CD player.

Btw, the Series S is freaking tiny. It's just barely longer than the Switch with the controller attached. Really cool.
