Started Lost Horizon. I didn't expect it to be good, I just wanted something cheap that might evoke my nostalgia for Indiana Jones like graphic adventure. Anyhow, just a couple of minutes in and one great thing is that unlike every other game I tried lately, this actually has pointer controls rather than dual stuck controls. It feels pretty great using motion and the gyro to move the cursor about. But they forgot to put in a position reenter option so the centre positioning of the cursor relies on where you turned the system on in the first place.

Syberia took me 3 full days to finish. Lost Acres is about 2.5 hours. Graphic adventures were my favourite genre on PC. I'm enjoying digging into them on switch and never knew there were this many. Lots of new ones planned too, they are even remastering the old Blade Runner game. But price is the big factor, and a huge sd card. They are so cheap it's ridiculous not to buy them. Just got Edith Finch using my bonus points for less than £3.
Been playing Lost Horizon, this cheap point and click Indiana Jones style game. It scratches the itch. It's one of those games that doesn't do anything particularly bad, but also doesn't do anything particularly well. The backgrounds are great, character models are Ps2 quality though, lip synching is off. Paired with some dodgy voice acting and there's lots of unintentional comedy. Some of the voice acting for the Asian characters is borderline racist but also hilarious. Unfortunately one of the main characters has a very annoying voice. Puzzles, well there aren't really any so far, it's more situational, like use stick to grab lantern. At the price I got this for its fun. Ridiculous, at the bottom of the rung at the moment but fun nonetheless. And I have to say it's a pleasure to play a game like this with an actual point and click interface, you can use one joycon and the gyro on the TV screen.
Omg after I crashed the plane I made this ridiculous fake animal to trick another animal 😅 Then I picked up its poop. Then there was my unconscious comrade and I tried to use the poop to wake her up. The character then said "I don't think she's into that sort of thing" 🤣
Just wasted 15 lives on a fucking underwater level in DKC. You basically need to memorize the whole damn thing.
Rest of the level design is a snore though.
The online for Monster Hunter Rise has been very good. It’s using the new network code of Nintendo’s so this bodes very well for future games online. I’ve been playing solely using my Wi-Fi as well even. Things can get a little crazy when you have four players and four buddies all attacking a monster. You can get lost in all the hit sparks and attacks going off but it sure is a hell of a lot of fun. Going to be very interesting to see how Monster Hunter World 2 turns out given all that’s going on in Rise.
Zelda II is an excellent game.
Hell yes.
GG whats with the adventure game fix you are on.
I recently got steelattack to play and finish his first Zelda game, ALTTP. He is now hooked and playing all of them. Join us!
Zelda II is excellent? Back foul demon spawn!

Meanwhile I’m going to be stuck putting in hundreds of hours into Monster Hunter Rise. It’s just not fair!
On a related note I always feel bad if I’m the one who gets the last cart in a quest no matter how well I did prior to that.
PSA: Today is the last day for Super Mario Bros. 35 and also the last day to buy Super Mario 3D All-Stars.
Me neither. I wasn't even aware that it was a temporary thing. Anyhow, I'm still not off my Tetris99 addition. Came in first again yesterday
I suck at Tetris 99, SMB35 is something I can actually win at. In fact Japanese players whisper my name in a hushed reverence. “Ah! Archangel-san!”
