I spent another weekend being pummeled by a big ape who is pissed off because someone cut off his tail.
I also shortly returned to Hollowknight after having stumbled upon a picture online that showed a hidden bee-themed area. I haven't beaten the miniboss yet, but the area itself isn't all that interesting and I'm not sure if I'll go through the bother of even beating it.
But mostly I played Hotshot racing, the low poly arcade racer from Sumo Digital. It's a throwback to simpler times alright. There's far too few of these kind of games around. Just good, honest, arcade racing without too much faf. A bit of a pitty they also copied the early '90s irritating voicework. That's going to get old very fast.
Glad you like Hotshot. I think the voice samples are charming. It would have been better if they were unwoke and wildly inapropriate. Oh my god the lines that I could write!
I also want Ghosts of Tsushima but I need it cheaper.
Just doesnt ibterest me. Days Gone is more appealing. Just listened to a podcastcabout Bend oregon the city and surrounding commjnity, the fact a developer exists there is really intriguing.
I finished up Final Fantasy 7 this weekend. Now I'm not sure what I want to start. I know I need to finish Link's Awakening. Yet I kinda want to get Bowser's Fury.
That reminds me that I need to return to Link’s Awakening and finish it as well.
i think i am fjnally almost coming to terms with admitting i will never finish a zelda game. :/
(Tex Murphy is a series of adventure games designed by Chris Jones. The eponymous main character is portrayed in live-action by Chris Jones himself) - mind blown.
Aspro Micro-Reviews Ken Williams Book (Sierra Online)
Very interesting to see that Ken has written a book. We got our first PC in 1987, and my dad got me king's quest 3 along with it. I was pretty much hooked on anything Sierra made after that, and it would be 5 years before I even bought another PC game made by another company (that would be SimCity if anyone is taking notes).
Anyway, I'll likely skip the sections about his business philosophies, but I would love to hear more about the history of the company and it's sad and unfortunate end.
I hadca single point to make and meandered all over the place doing a milk run delivery of bullet points to such an extent that by tge time I got to the point the reader would have forgotten where I started. I blame having to do it at work since my home pc is not available for a while.
Is it just me or is MS Teams a very backwards program? Just making an account and logging in to it every time is a nightmare. I remember being completely befuddled when I tried to make an account for myself, and now I'm facing the same frustrating timesink again while trying to make an account for my wife.
I get that they want to keep it safe, but fencing it off for anyone without a Phd and half a day's time is not the way to go.
Teams is as easy or complicated as administrators want it to be I think. We use it in my company since we all went remote and for the most part it's been pretty easy. We have to reenter our credentials every 4 days or so, but aside from that I haven't seen any difficulties with it.
American Gods seems to have been mercifully canceled. I had heard that the new season was actually decent, but season 2 was just so god-awful I don't think it's a taste anyone could ever get out of their mouths. Just a complete travesty. I'm struggling to think of an example in any medium that went from being so amazing to so god-awful that quickly. Actraiser to Actraiser 2 is the only thing I can think of in video game terms.

That's my main issue. As an independent entrepreneur I'm my own administrator for better and, mostly, for worse.

Zelda to Zelda II immediately springs to mind.
Edit: Just thought of Devil May Cry to Devil May Cry 2.
Completed Syberia 1 and immediately moved to Syberia 2. They are selling both games in a bundle for £1.50 😮. Really enjoyed the first one, would have felt like something was missing if there wasn't a sequel, but there is, its super cheap and follows on almost immediately where the 1st game ended. And I looked, in the Switch sale, you can get all the Deponia games for like £6. Thimble weed Park is also on sale. And Crysis remastered is at its lowest price so far 😁

Some home renovation is going on so I am off PC for the week. Playing on Switch.

You should try the event quest where you fight two of them in the arena.
I will reserve my comments on that review for the show.
I never said the comments would be positive.
Save your defence for the trial.
