I felled a seething Baselgeuze this weekend, bonking him over the head while he bombarded me with explosive droppings.  The mighty hoarfrost Barrioth was also no match for my hunter prowess, despite his hipster beard and me forgetting to restock items before heading out.

The rest of the weekend saw me coming in first in Tetris99 while improving on my maximum amount of KO's in on game, disposing of 15 players singlehandedly before claiming the top spot.

And last but not least I started Catherine Full Body on Switch.  The puzzle levels are remixed with new types of blocks, which is nice for returning players.  I'm making the same mistakes in the multiple choice cutscenes as I did on my first time around and am rediscovering how infuriating it can be to get stuck on a specific part of a puzzle.  Playing this directly before going to bed was NOT a good idea.

So what about the rest of you lost sheep, what digital challenges did you overcome?

Most of my weekend was spent with Control. I'm halfway finished with the main game now, so now is the time to start tackling a bunch of the side quests and really digging deep into the games lore. There really is a hell of a backstory here. The best stuff is probably a collection of VHS tapes that was an attempt by the government agency you work for to create a puppet show for kids about staying safe from paranormal events and altered items. It is one of the creepiest things you'll ever see.

Also spent more time killing Bowser's in Mario 35. I had a really nice run going for a while and won two games back to back. That put me pretty high in the rankings for a while and I thought I might actually end up with a pretty impressive coin score. A day later I came back to the game and nope. Apparently there are other people who just sit there and play nonstop.

I too played a fair amount of Control and Super Mario Bros. 35 this weekend. Really digging Control and yeah those puppet shows are pretty creepy. Playing Super Mario Bros. 35 even got me in the mood to play the original Super Mario Bros. so I played some of that and got up to World 7. Did a few hunts in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne as well.

Well so far it sounds mild. Hopefully that's the worst of it.

In Victoria Australia Day used to be part of a long weekend, then John Howard decided to infringe upon our sacred state rights and now it's on a fucking Tuesday. So fuck Australia day, and fuck Australia.

I mean, thank you, mate! Nyaa

Untrue. Everything was spelled correctly and he appears to be completely sober.

Hey here's an interesting question for the non-Americans of our little site. I'm sure you are all familiar with the reputation Florida has? At this point I think stories about "Florida-man" have achieved some level of international infamy. Anyway, I was curious if there is a Florida in your country and what it might be.

I'm not sure.  There's no place in our country that has nice weather most of the time and old people are everywhere.

Sorry if I'm not aware of more prejudice's about Florida.  Nyaa

Huh... I swore the Florida Man was a worldwide known stereotype. basically, it's a belief that people in Florida engage in some of the most ridiculously stupid and dangerous activities. In truth, it's the same stupid shit, that low IQ people do everywhere, but Florida has a law That does not provide privacy for newly arrested criminals. So our bizarre and strange stories get published immediately after they happen which increases their newsworthiness and they always start out with, "A Florida man...."

For more information about Florida man, please click this link to learn about some of our more notable examples.

lol, I needed that.

Our nation is too small to have parts of it dedicated to dumber people.  We do however have a province that is common to feature in jokes.  Like how all american jokes are about stupid or slow canadians.  yes

Apple is warning that the newest iPhone may mess up pacemakers. Apparently that's a risk with a lot of appliances, jut trust on Apple to do it better and make it mainstream!

The only thing that I can think of off the top of my head here for Canada is how there are so many “Newfie” jokes which makes fun of people who live in Newfoundland. LOL

Australia's equivalent to Florida Man is Australians.

In unrelated news, has anyone been following the hilarity that's going on with GameStop stocks? If America's taxation laws didn't make applying for an international tradings account a longish proccess I'd be up 150%-200% on my imaginary investment, and it'd be coming right out of the pockets of dick hedgefunds. Luckily that fact makes it beautiful whether you're directly involved or not.

What the hell is going on there????? This is all because Elon Musk feels insecure about his penis and needs to show off again?

Oh god, "newfie" jokes. Many years ago, I dated a girl from Nova Scotia (which is how I was introduced to the knowledge that Canadians have white trash too). She had a friend that was constantly busting on Newfies and thought those jokes were the greatest things in the world. I suspect they were put together solely so everyone else in the Maritimes had something to shit on.
