Oculus Quest2 is a great deal. Except that it has to be linked to a FaceBook account...
I'll need to look up if you only need it for the oculus, or if you also need to sign in on pc. If it's only on the oculus I dob't think it's a problem?
I'm sure that Mark enjoys reading all those reviews that list 'needing a facebook account' as the only negative to the Quest 2.
I won't be able to play steam games my pc wasn't exactly cutting edge when I put it together 7 years ago.
I'll be using it to sample VR gaming and to view 3d models through it and allow clients to do the same.
Anyhow, I'll order one for the christmas holiday. With corona still raging on we won't be celebrating much and I can use the extra time to experilent with VR a bit. If it's of no use professionally, I can just return it after 10 days or so.
You need the Facebook account to activate it. It needs to be real or they lock you out of your headset. It's messed up but that's what they are doing. So if you do that there would be no issue. It is very impressive especially at that price.
I have a new TV! OLED LG CX 55 inch, the best tv on the market for gaming. I cannot believe how stunning the picture is, how smooth it all looks and that HDR! It's a whole new world, I was missing out on so much. It has all the bells and whistles so I get VRR, 4k at 120hz, 4 HDMI 2.1 slots. I am ready for next gen! Two weeks to go!
so I didn't play much of anything. I stopped Genshin, it's just too much of the same. Oh I started Hades which is so well done. It's a rogue game so you know the drill but the combat is pretty good, it's more the way the rewards are structured with lots of story and characters which supergiant is known for. Presentation is through the roof which makes wanting to keep trying to improve a priority. The actual combat is standard top down hack and slash stuff and level design is basic.
So I'm playing Days Gone, and while I'm only a couple hours in I'm loving it. Critics were definitely a little harsh on it. I don't know, maybe they were expecting another Last of Us. At any rate, damn good so far.

How do you mean, it needs to be real? It'll be real allright, real empty as I don't intend on using it for anything other than getting the Quest 2 to work.

I was going to make a reply scolding you for spending big money on a TV. Then I googled it. That's the same kind of money I paid for my first 26" LCD flatscren pannel when they were new technology.

Facebook has been banning accounts for almost no reason, including accounts that have no use. It's caused a huge uproar.
Finished re5. Wesker boss fight was annoying but actually super easy when you know what you're doing. You can just run behind him and hold him while Sheva hacks him to death. His other boss fight was also annoying. I hate boss fights where its unclear what you are supposed to do. Or you have to do things in the strict order they want or it doesn't work.
Restarted Ghost busters on casual cause I can't be assed. Think I'll get Paper Mario for Christmas. Did anyone apart from archie try the hyrule Warriors demo?

To my knowledge you need one to set it up in the first place, but don't have to use it to play Steam games etc.

One day I'll get around to it.

Yeah, I'm banking on that being solved in 6 to 8 weeks time.
It’ll be the 35th Anniversary for Dragon Quest next year. Time sure flies. I’m pretty excited to see what they might do to celebrate.
Did you see the LE for Fire Emblem's 30th birthday?
That's pretty classy.
Yeah that LE for Fire Emblem’s 30th Anniversary looks very nice indeed. A real shame that it didn’t come with a physical copy of the game though.
The "improved" PS3/60 graphics look shite. They ruined the colour scheme, and the lighting blurrs everything together.
So stressful this night. Florida and my people let me down, Cubans are why trump won Florida.
