He discovered the axe and chopped down 1 palm tree. He's banned now. He went swimming just to take photos. Luckily he never saw my adult movie studio.

He probably saw it, knew exactly what it was, but didn't care.

You also now know why my island is called 'the refuge'.  My wife had to give up part of the family island as some sort of 'child reserve' in which they could do whatever they wanted, so they'd stop screwing up the rest of the island.

I spent most of my weekend playing Trials of Mana, and it's one of the most bizarre and surreal experiences I've had in a while. I don't think I've ever seen a remake like this before. I've played through the original three times over the years, so I'm pretty familiar with it, and I'm almost shocked at how few liberties were actually taken in the remake.

Obviously they transitioned the landscape, towns, and dungeons into 3D But that really seems like it. The story hasn't changed. The music while richer is still the same note for note. The dialogue is more or less the same (difficult to gauge that without having played the official Trials of Mana SFC translation). Not a whole lot has been expanded regarding characters or plotlines. Even the pacing and speed of which you go through the game really isn't that different. EVERYTHING -characters, enemies, scenery- looks the same, just in 3-D. Things are a touch faster because some of the more ridiculous menus have been simplified, but that's it.

Anyway, I'm enjoying the heck out of this game, though I could also see why a lot of people would not.

put up a sign that says "animals only". All the saucy dialogue I injected into my characters has backfired on me. Now they are asking me what pervert means.

Having just finished the creature in the well I was looking for something new to play. I saw DQ XI was added to GamePass, but opted for Hollow Knight, if only to better rebuke hollow claims about its superiority to some other games.

All in all still getting great value from GamePass. You have to wonder if its sole reason of existence is to just keep you from buying any games on competing platforms.

I played through the Iron Harvest open beta campaign (half of the Polanian/Polish campaign), and while the setting and mech gameplay is great, the design of the levels was a bit of a mixed bag. Still a good time, all in all. I also made more progress in Night in the Woods and Vampyr.

Hopefully you won't struggle with it too much. You will find it significantly more challenging than rhythm games that pretend to be jRPGs.

How do even begin to explain what a pervert is to a child without getting into trouble? The eldest watches Anime so he knows.

The letters animals send me are: "To the one and only Pervert, I saw this outfit at the store and it said one thing to me," Pervert"

One character used to say "Hey Buttsniffer, why are you looking at me so intently? It's unnerving" and of course I'd be wearing the gas mask.

Of course I can. That's the entire reason why I couldn't play Xenoblade. I couldn't match the timing for the special attack to flip the first major boss battle robot.

That... That's horrible. My simpaties for your grave loss.  Sad

On the other hand, the switch version does offer a casual mode, so that even people like you can enjoy this great game, instead of having to be all snarky about it and try to substitute it with inferior and ultimately hollow experiences  Grinning

Jokes aside, I suspect since I was playing it on the Wii U, there was some sort of input lag issue that throws the timing off. The NES version of Punch Out supposedly suffers from a similar experience.  Of course, the obvious answer is still I'm just inept.

For anyone worried about Switch joycon repair Nintendo UK fixed mine for free and they are 2 years past the warranty cut off date. Should have done it far sooner.

I really should send my joycons in for repairs. I just get so lazy with those kind of things.
